Ferid Rragami
Ferid Rragami (born 1 June 1957), is an Albanian retired footballer. Club career Rragami played for Shkëndija Tiranë, Vllaznia Shkodër and Partizani Tirana between 1972 and 1988, winning three league titles and 2 domestic cups. Suspension In November 1987, Rragami's playing career was more or less ended by the communist regime, who suspended him for two years for his role in the defection of Vllaznia players Lulëzim Bërshemi and Arvid Hoxha in Helsinki after a European tie with Finnish side Rovaniemi PS. He was punished to forced labour in Pult alongside team manager Bahri Aqemi, head coach Astrit Hafizi and club doctor Zyhdi Çoba. International career He made his debut for Albania in a September 1980 World Cup qualification match against Finland in Tirana and earned a total of 14 caps, scoring no goals. Albanian Superliga
The Kategoria Superiore, officially known as Abissnet Superiore for sponsorship reasons, is a professional league for men's association football clubs. At the top of the Albanian football league system, it is the country's primary football competition. It is contested by 10 clubs, and operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Kategoria e Parë. Seasons run from August to May, with teams playing 36 matches each (playing each team in the league four times, twice at home and twice away). The competition was founded in 1930 as the Albanian National Championship during the reign of King Zog, shortly after the creation of the Albanian Football Association. 1986–87 Albanian Cup () was the thirty-fifth season of Albania's annual cup competition. It began in August 1986 with the First Round and ended in May 1987 with the Final matches. The winners of the competition qualified for the 1987-88 first round of the UEFA Europa League. KF Tirana were the defending champions, having won their seventh Albanian Cup last season. The cup was won by KS Vllaznia. The rounds were played in a two-legged format similar to those of European competitions. If the aggregated score was tied after both games, the team with the higher number of away goals advanced. The Albanian Cup ( sq, Kupa e Shqipërisë) is the main "knockout" competition in Albanian football. The competition started in 1939 as Kupa e Mbretit (English:"The King's Cup"). Just after a year the cup was suspended as the Second World War started. It started again in 1948 as "Kupa e Republikes" (English: "Republic Cup") and from 1991 as "Kupa e Shqipërisë" (Albanian Cup). Today it is the second most important competition in Albania after the Kategoria Superiore.
