Ferencvárosi TC–Újpest FC Rivalry
The fixture between Ferencvárosi TC and Újpest FC is a local derby in Budapest, Hungary and a fierce rivalry. The two clubs are the most popular clubs in the country and two of the most successful ones. History and rivalry culture The first match between Ferencváros and Újpest was played on 19 February 1905 at the Sorkosári úti Stadion in the 1905 Hungarian League season. The match ended with a 2-0 victory for the Ferencváros. The two goals were scored by Ferenc Weisz. The return match was also won by Ferencváros 3-1. The first and only Újpest goal was scored by Béla Petz. The rivalry can be traced back to the 1930s when Újpest won their first Hungarian League title. Stadion Albert Flórián
Stadion Albert Flórián was a sports stadium in Budapest, Hungary. The stadium was the home of the association football club Ferencvárosi TC. The stadium had a capacity of 18,100. Formerly known as ''Üllői úti stadion'' for its location, it had been renamed for Ballon d'Or winner club legend Flórián Albert in 2007. Today, the stadium's place is occupied by the newly built Groupama Arena. History Construction The first stadium was started to be built in the autumn of 1910. On 12 February 1911, Ferencváros played their first match against Budapest rival MTK Budapest which was won by the club. The history of the Jews in Hungary dates back to at least the Kingdom of Hungary, with some records even predating the Hungarian conquest of the Carpathian Basin in 895 CE by over 600 years. Written sources prove that Jewish communities lived in the medieval Kingdom of Hungary and it is even assumed that several sections of the heterogeneous Hungarian tribes practiced Judaism. ATV (formerly known as Magyar ATV) is the first Hungarian private TV channel, broadcasting continuously since 1989, with a focus on news, public life, and current events. Zsolt Wintermantel (born 26 February 1972) is a Hungarian politician, who served as Mayor of Újpest (4th district of Budapest) from 2010 to 2019. The 2014–15 Nemzeti Bajnokság I, also known as NB I, was the 113th season of top-tier football in Hungary. The league is officially named ''OTP Bank Liga'' for sponsorship reasons. The season began 26 July 2014 and concluded on 1 June 2015. Debrecen are the defending champions having won their seventh Hungarian championship last season. Magyar Testgyakorlók Köre Budapest Futball Club or shortly MTK is a Hungarian football club based in Józsefváros, Budapest. The team currently plays in the Nemzeti Bajnokság II. The club's colours are blue and white. As one of the most successful Hungarian football clubs, MTK has won the Hungarian League 23 times and the Hungarian Cup 12 times.
