Ferenc Bene
Ferenc Bene (17 December 1944 – 27 February 2006) was a Hungarian Association football, football player of Újpest FC, Újpesti Dózsa, who was a member of the team that won the gold medal at the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. A Forward (association football)#Striker, striker, he was the top scorer of the tournament (12 goals in 5 matches). Bene was born in Balatonújlak. He played his first international match against Yugoslavia national football team, Yugoslavia on 14 October 1962, and his last against Czechoslovakia national football team, Czechoslovakia on 12 September 1979. He obtained 76 caps and scored 36 goals. He was bronze medallist at the 1964 European Nations' Cup, European Championship of 1964, and a quarter-finalist at the 1966 FIFA World Cup, World Cup of 1966 (at the latter event he was the top scorer of the Hungarian national team). Ferenc Bene jr. (born 7 September 1978) is a Hungarian football manager and a former footballer who currently works as an assistant coach for Diósgyőri VTK in the Hungarian premier division OTP Bank Liga. He is the son of legendary Hungarian striker Ferenc Bene. On his playing career Bene spent several seasons in the Hungarian lower divisions and played one season in the Finnish top division Veikkausliiga for FC Jazz FC Jazz is a football club from Pori, Finland. Hungarian Cup
The Hungarian Cup ( hu, Magyar Kupa) is the Hungarian cup competition for football clubs. It was started by the Hungarian Football Association, the ''Magyar Labdarúgó Szövetség,'' in 1909, eight years after the commencement of the Hungarian League ( hu, Nemzeti Bajnokság). Besides all of the professional clubs of Hungary numerous amateur sides take part every year. These have to qualify through local cup competitions. The most successful participant in the Magyar Kupa has been Ferencváros with 24 wins, followed by local rivals MTK with 12 cups. The current holder is Ferencváros, having won their 24th title in 2022. Kecskeméti Testedző Egyesület, commonly known as Kecskeméti TE or simply Kecskemét, is a sports club based in Kecskemét, Hungary. It is most famous for its football team which competes in the Nemzeti Bajnokság I, the first tier of Hungarian football.
