Feng Shan
Feng Shan or feng-shan (), also referred to as the Feng and Shan sacrifices, was an official rite offered by the Son of Heaven (kings of Zhou and later emperors of China) to pay homage to heaven and earth. The sacrifices were usually offered at Mount Tai, the highest peak in the area, and nearby Mount Liangfu. The emperor would pay homage to Tian, heaven (on the summit) and Houtu, earth (at the foot of the mountain) in the Feng () and Shan () sacrifices respectively. Completing Feng Shan allowed the emperor to receive the Mandate of Heaven, mandate of heaven. The term 'feng' can roughly be translated to mean "to seal", while the term 'shan' can roughly be translated to mean "to clear away". According to the Records of the Grand Historian, Feng involved building altars out of soil at the peak of Mt. Tai and proclaiming the merits and legitimacy of the emperor to Tian, god of heaven. Shan involved clearing land at the foot of the mountain to show respect for the Houtu, god of earth. ...

Fengshan Single Member Constituency
Fengshan Single Member Constituency was a former single Member Constituency within Bedok, Singapore. The constituency was created in 1984 from parts of Bedok, Changi & Kampong Chai Chee constituencies. As the population in Bedok grew, the constituency was absorbed into the Bedok Group Representation Constituency (GRC) in 1991. In 2015, the constituency was carved out from East Coast GRC and became Fengshan Single Member Constituency. In 2020, it was merged back to East Coast GRC. Hailun
Hailun () is a city in west-central Heilongjiang province, People's Republic of China. Administratively, it is a county-level city under Suihua City. History Before the Qing Dynasty Hailun was one of the earliest centrally governed counties in Heilongjiang Province. The city was named after the Hailun River, which runs through it. The name Hailun is a variation of a Manchu word that sounds like "kailing", which means "otter". This name was chosen due to the abundance of otters inhabiting the nearby river.
