Fenerbahçe Spor Kulübü (, meaning Fenerbahçe Sports Club), commonly known as Fenerbahçe or simply Fener, is a major Turkish professional multi-sport club based in the Kadıköy district of Istanbul, Turkey. Fenerbahçe is parent to a number of different competitive departments including football, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, athletics, swimming, sailing, boxing, rowing, and eSports, which have won numerous European and domestic titles over the club's history. Fenerbahçe is one of the oldest and most successful multi-sport clubs in Turkey, having won as much as 12 international titles, including 8 major European titles, 1 World Championship and 4 regional Balkan titles in five sports (Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Table Tennis, Tennis). Lycée Saint-Joseph ( tr, İstanbul Özel Saint-Joseph Fransız Lisesi) is a private high school located in Istanbul, Turkey. It is a French school founded in 1870. Classes are taught in Turkish, French language, French, and English language, English. Fenerbahçe S.K. was formed by students of this high school. History This school was founded by Fran Society (Lasalle Institute). Fran Society (Lasalle Institute) was established by Saint Jean-Baptiste when it first came to Turkey in 1841. Pensionnat Saint-Joseph, a school for boys, was first established in Pera (now Beyoğlu) in 1857. Its successor Frères des Ecoles Chrétiennes was established in 1860. At one time it moved to a rental property in Moda, Kadıköy but in 1864 it returned to Pera as it could no longer occupy the building, as the owner had sold it to someone else.
