Carioca Arena 3 (Portuguese: ''Arena Carioca 3'') is an indoor stadium in Barra da Tijuca in the west zone of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The venue hosted taekwondo at the 2016 Summer Olympics, taekwondo and fencing at the 2016 Summer Olympics, fencing competitions at the 2016 Summer Olympics and the judo at the 2016 Summer Paralympics, judo and Wheelchair fencing at the 2016 Summer Paralympics, wheelchair fencing competitions at the 2016 Summer Paralympics. Carioca Arena 3 was planned to be transformed into a sports high school after the Games. During the COVID-19 pandemic in Brazil, the structure of Carioca Arena 3 was used as a base for the health workers on vaccination programme. As of February 2022, the Arena is open for children engaged in sports activities promoted by the prefecture of Rio de Janeiro. Bogna Jóźwiak (born April 15, 1983 in Poznań) is a Polish sabre fencer. Jozwiak represented Poland at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where she competed in two sabre events. For her first event, the women's individual sabre, Jozwiak first defeated Venezuela's Alejandra Benitez in the preliminary round of thirty-two, before losing out her next match to U.S. fencer Mariel Zagunis, with a score of 13–15. Yoon Ji-su ( ko, 윤지수, or ; born 24 January 1993) is a South Korean right-handed sabre fencer. Yoon is a four-time team Asian champion and a two-time individual Asian champion. A two-time Olympian, Yoon is a 2021 team Olympic bronze medalist. Early life Yoon is the younger of two children and only daughter of retired baseball player and coach Yoon Hak-kil. She was born and raised in Busan as her father was a "one-team man" who spent his entire playing career and part of his coaching career with Lotte Giants. Her father had been initially opposed to her becoming a professional athlete but relented after much persuasion. Yoon was initially a taekwondo athlete in elementary school before switching to fencing in middle school. As a high school student, she participated in the 2010 Junior World Fencing Championships.
