The men's épée was one of seven fencing events on the fencing at the 1932 Summer Olympics programme. It was the eighth appearance of the event. The competition was held from 8 August 1932 to 9 August 1932. 28 fencers from 12 nations competed, with three others entered but not starting.Official Olympic Report

160th Regiment State Armory
The Wallis Annenberg Building (originally the 160th Regiment State Armory, and also referred to as the Exposition Park Armory) is a building located in Exposition Park, Los Angeles, California. It was built in 1912 and designed by architect J.W. Wollett. The building served as the armory for the 160th Infantry Regiment between World War I and World War II The armory hosted the fencing competition at the 1932 Summer Olympics as well as the fencing part of the modern pentathlon. It seated 1,800 for the event. It also served as an exposition hall and ballroom during the early- and mid-20th century. In 1947, the armory was converted into a bowling alley and hosted a tournament of the American Bowling Congress. It later served as a roller derby venue. Gustave Heiss
Gustave Marinius Heiss (November 4, 1904 – June 7, 1982) was a United States fencing champion and winner of a bronze medal in team épée fencing at the 1932 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. He also competed at the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin, where the American team placed fifth. He was a four-time U.S. National Épée Champion (1933, 1934, 1936, and 1941). Fencing career Heiss was born in Meridian, Mississippi. After briefly attending Tulane University, he entered the United States Military Academy at West Point. Bo Lindman
Bo Lindman (8 February 1899 – 30 July 1992) was a Swedish modern pentathlete. He participated at the 1924, 1928 and 1932 Summer Olympics and won one gold and two silver medals; in 1932 he also competed in the individual épée fencing event. Lindman was the Olympic flag bearer for Sweden in 1928, 1932 and 1936. Lindman was the Nordic Champion in 1923 and Swedish champion in 1923 and 1924 in modern pentathlon. Between 1936 and 1946 he headed the Athletics Federation of Sweden, and in 1949 became treasurer of the Union Internationale de Pentathlon Moderne. Lindman was a career military officer, retiring in the rank of lieutenant colonel. He later became director of the Swedish Transport Association.Bo Lindman
