Feminazgûl
Feminazgûl is an American feminist black metal band from North Carolina. Founded by Margaret Killjoy in 2018, Feminazgûl released their debut EP, ''The Age of Men Is Over,'' the same year. The band released their first full-length album, ''No Dawn for Men'', in 2020. History Feminazgûl was founded by Margaret Killjoy, a transgender anarchist author, in 2018. They created the band's debut EP, ''The Age of Men Is Over'', as a solo project the same year. The band was also included in the 2018 ''Worldwide Organization of Metalheads Against Nazis'' ''(W.O.M.A.N.)'' compilation album. Margaret Killjoy
Margaret Killjoy is an American author and musician. She has published fiction novels in the steampunk and folk horror genres, and is best known for her two-book ''Danielle Cain'' series. Killjoy is involved in several musical projects across genres including black metal, neofolk, and electronica. She founded the Feminism, feminist black metal band Feminazgûl in 2018. Life Killjoy is an Anarchism, anarchist, Feminism, feminist, and Anti-fascism, anti-fascist. She is a transgender woman. Killjoy spent much of her early adult life as a "Squatting, squatter and wanderer", then in the late 2010s began building a small cabin in the Appalachian Mountains on an anarchist land project. Meredith Yayanos
Meredith Anne Yayanos is a California-based violinist, vocalist and thereminist. Her work has been featured on tracks with artists including The Dresden Dolls, The Vanity Set, Revue Noir, David Garland and The Walkmen. Since 2021, Yayanos is a member of the feminist black metal band Feminazgûl. Yayanos was a contributing artist to the comic book project '' 9-11: Emergency Relief'', created to benefit the American Red Cross in the wake of the September 11, 2001 attacks. She is also the inspiration for a comic book character named Melanctha, appearing in the 21st issue of '' Planetary'' by Warren Ellis and John Cassaday. The Nazgûl (from Black Speech , "ring", and , "wraith, spirit"), introduced as Black Riders and also called Ringwraiths, Dark Riders, the Nine Riders, or simply the Nine, are fictional characters in J. R. R. Tolkien's Middle-earth. They were nine Men who had succumbed to Sauron's power through wearing Rings of Power, which gave them immortality but reduced them to invisible wraiths, servants bound to the power of the One Ring and completely under Sauron's control. Screaming is an extended vocal technique that is popular in "aggressive" music genres such as heavy metal, punk rock, and noise music and others.
