Felix Ungacta
Felix Flores Ungacta (November 8, 1937 – October 24, 2016) was a Guamanian politician and businessman. He served as the mayor of Hagåtña, the capital city and seat of government of Guam, from January 5, 1981 to January 3, 2005, becoming one of the territory's longest-serving mayors in history. The village's name was changed from Agana to Hagåtña in 1998, while the office he held was renamed from Commissioner to Mayor during his tenure. He was a member of the Republican Party of Guam. Biography Ungacta was born on Guam on November 8, 1937 to Felix U. Ungacta and Engarcia Flores Ungacta. He spent twenty-five years in elected office in Hagåtña. He was first elected as the Commissioner of Agana (which later became the Mayor) in 1980 and took office 1981. Barrigada, Guam
Barrigada ( ch, Barigåda) is a village in the United States territory of Guam. A largely residential municipality, its main village is located south of the Antonio B. Won Pat International Airport near the intersections of Routes 8, 10, and 16. The community east of the airport known as Barrigada Heights is considered an affluent neighborhood on the island, where homes have excellent views overlooking much of Guam including the island's airport and hotels along Tumon Bay. Another significant location is Mount Barrigada, nearly 200 meters above sea level. The Chamorro people (; also CHamoru) are the indigenous people of the Mariana Islands, politically divided between the United States territory of Guam and the encompassing Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands in Micronesia. Today, significant Chamorro populations also exist in several U.S. states, including Hawaii, California, Washington, Texas, Tennessee, Oregon, and Nevada, all of which together are designated as Pacific Islander Americans according to the U.S. Census. According to the 2000 Census, about 64,590 people of Chamorro ancestry live in Guam and another 19,000 live in the Northern Marianas. Eddie Calvo
Edward Jerome Baza Calvo (born August 29, 1961) is an American (U.S. citizen) politician who served as the 8th Governor of Guam from January 3, 2011 to January 7, 2019. A member of the Republican Party, Calvo was a five-term Senator within the Legislature of Guam. He became the Governor of Guam, having defeated Democrat Carl Gutierrez in the 2010 gubernatorial election. Calvo chose Senator Ray Tenorio as his running mate for Lieutenant Governor of Guam. The governor of Guam ( ch, I Maga'låhen / ) is the head of government of Guam and the commander-in-chief of the Guam National Guard, whose responsibilities also include making the annual State of the Island (formerly the State of the Territory) addresses to the Guam Legislature, submitting the budget, and ensuring that Guam's public laws are enforced. Paseo Stadium
Paseo Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Hagåtña, Guam, Agana, Guam. It is currently used mostly for baseball matches. In the late 1970s with baseball popularity soaring and the success of the Guam Major League (GML) and youth baseball, the need for a new Guam baseball facility was in demand. The new Paseo Stadium, located at the Paseo de Susana in Hagatna replaced the old Paseo Ballpark on the same site. The old ballpark was falling into disrepair. The once-proud facility, tarnished through time, featured rusted steel girders and rock-hard wood-planked bleachers, which seated 1,100 baseball fans.
