Antonio Olaguer Feliú y Heredia López y Domec (1742–1813) was a Spanish soldier and politician who spent most of his career in South America. Biography Born in Villafranca del Bierzo, León (province), León, Olaguer Feliú was sent to Buenos Aires as a military specialist during the governorship of Pedro de Cevallos. He took part in the siege of Colonia del Sacramento in 1777. He was named military inspector in 1783. Jordi Xumetra Feliú
Jordi Xumetra Feliú (born 24 October 1985) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a right winger for UE Olot. Club career Born in L'Estartit, Girona, Catalonia, Xumetra finished his development at FC Barcelona, but only played for Tercera División clubs in his first years as senior. In 2006, he signed with Girona FC also in that league, being part of the squads that achieved two consecutive promotions in two years. On 30 August 2008, Xumetra appeared in his first match as a professional, coming on as a late substitute in a 1–0 away win over RC Celta de Vigo in the Segunda División. His first goal came on 14 February of the following year, as he scored his side's last in a 3–3 home draw against Albacete Balompié. Xumetra moved to Elche CF also of the second tier on 3 July 2010. José Olaguer Feliú
José Olaguer Feliú y Ramírez (October 25, 1857 – November 21, 1929) was a Spanish lieutenant general, Minister of War and politician. Biography Olaguer Feliú was born on October 25, 1857 in Manila, but both parents were Spanish of Catalan origin. In 1876 he entered the Academy of the General Staff. In 1882 he was promoted to lieutenant and served in different places in Spain. In 1890 he went to the Philippines with the rank of commandant. He was director of the School of Arts and Crafts in Manila. Olaguer Feliú took an active part in numerous military operations during the Philippines Campaign. He participated in the Battle of Kakarong de Sili in the island of Luzon on January 1, 1897, where the Commandant Olaguer Feliu achieved victory with only 600 men against 6.000 indigenous fighters katipuneros. Manuel Olaguer Feliú
Manuel Olaguer Feliú (27 December 1759 – 7 June 1824), was a Spanish military engineer known for his role in constructing and overhauling fortifications in Colonial Chile as well as his later participation in the Chilean and Peruvian wars of independence. Upon his return to metropolitan Spain he was promoted to the rank Field Marshal and became Captain General of Galicia. Melchor Feliú (?-1766) was the last governor in the First Spanish Period of Florida's history, governing from March 20, 1762 to July 27, 1763. Feliú oversaw the cession of Florida to Great Britain by the Treaty of Paris on July 21, 1763 and the subsequent immigration of most of the province's Spanish and African inhabitants to Cuba. Some of the Native Americans living in the Spanish Catholic missions also moved away from Florida at this time. Josep Feliu i Codina (also known by his Spanish name José Feliú y Codina; 11 June 1845 – 2 May 1897) was a Catalonia, Catalan journalist, novelist and playwright whose work is linked to the Realism (arts), Realist movement and to the Catalan Renaixença. Biography Codina was born in Barcelona in May 1845. An affiliate of the ''Partit Liberal Dinàstic'' (Liberal Monarchist Party), he took a law degree in 1867 and worked in several administrative posts for the party. He also began his literary career at that time, initially writing in Catalan language, Catalan. In 1867, he founded the weekly periodical ''La Pubilla''.
