Felipe Manguiat Medalla is a Filipino economist currently serving as the Governor of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, central monetary authority of the Philippines, and the ''ex officio'' chairman of the Anti-Money Laundering Council, the central anti-money laundering/counter-terrorism financing authority of the Philippines under the Marcos administration since 2022. He previously served as the 9th Socio-Economic Planning Secretary and Director-General of the National Economic and Development Authority under President Joseph Estrada. Medalla served as dean of the University of the Philippines School of Economics. Ferdinand "Bongbong" Romualdez Marcos Jr. ( , , ; born September 13, 1957), commonly referred to by the initials PBBM or BBM, is a Filipino politician who is the 17th and current president of the Philippines. The Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) is the agency of the Government of the Philippines that is tasked to implement the provisions of Republic Act No. 9160, also known as the “Anti-Money Laundering Act of 2001” (AMLA), as amended, and Republic Act No. 10168, also known as the “Terrorism Financing Prevention and Suppression Act of 2012” (TFPSA).
