Felipe Alcaraz
Luis Felipe Alcaraz Masats (born 1 March 1943 in Granada) is a Spanish politician. He is the current Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Communist Party of Spain. Alcaraz obtained a doctorate in philology and began as a university professor. He began his opposition to Francoism in the 1950s. In 1973 he joined the Communist Party of Spain and in 1979 joined the Central Committee and was chosen as deputy for Jaén. In 1981 he was chosen Secretary General of the Partido Comunista de Andalucía, a position that he maintained until 2002. He was chosen deputy of the Parliament of Andalusia by Seville Province in 1982, 1986 and 1990, being several times parliamentary spokesman of the PCE and IU. From 1993 to 2004 he again sat in the Spanish Congress of Deputies representing Seville district. Enrique Fernando Santiago Romero (born 1964) is a Spanish lawyer and politician, who is the secretary-general of the Communist Party of Spain (PCE) since April 2018. He has been as member of the 13th Congress of Deputies, representing Madrid, since 2019. Biography Born on 18 July 1964 in Madrid, he affiliated to the Communist Party of Spain (PCE) in 1980. He earned a Licentiate degree in Law at the Complutense University of Madrid. Luis Lucas Alcaraz González (born 21 June 1966) is a Spanish retired footballer, currently manager of UD Ibiza. In a managerial career of over two decades, he competed in ten La Liga seasons at the helm of Recreativo, Racing de Santander, Granada and Levante. He was also in charge of eight clubs in Segunda División, winning promotion with Recreativo and Murcia, and had a brief spell in international selection with Algeria. Francisco "Paco" Frutos Gras (6 September 1939 – 26 July 2020) was a Spanish politician who served, from 1998 until 2009, as the Secretary-General of the Communist Party of Spain (PCE). Biography He was born on 6 September 1939 in Calella, province of Barcelona. A son of peasants, Frutos worked until the age of 25 in agriculture, emigrating later to Germany, and then returning to Barcelona, where he was touched for the first time by trade unionism in a textile factory in Blanes. There, he was an organiser of the then-clandestine Workers' Commissions (CCOO). In 1963, Frutos joined the Unified Socialist Party of Catalonia (PSUC), the fraternal party of PCE in Catalonia. Gaspar Llamazares Trigo (; born 28 November 1957) is a Spanish politician. He was the leader of the leftist coalition Izquierda Unida (IU, ''United Left'') from 2001 to 2008, in the post of General Coordinator. Early years and career Llamazares was born in Logroño, La Rioja, Spain. Second of six brothers and sisters, he spent his childhood and youth in Salinas, Castrillón, Asturias. He studied medicine in the Autonomous University of Madrid and in the University of Oviedo, where he received his degree.
