Fedor Kanareykin
Fedor Leonidovich Kanareykin (russian: Фёдор Леонидович Канарейкин; 29 May 1955, USSR) is a Soviet ice hockey player, Russian hockey coach. Honored coach of Russia. In 1973 in the Junior team of the USSR won the gold medal in the European championship in 1974, repeated success in the youth team at the world championship. However, in the adult national team of the USSR never got there. In 1976 it became the champion of the USSR in the HC Spartak Moscow. Coaching Kanareykin started in the 90s. On 25 September 2006 Kanareykin succeeded as head coach of Metallurg Magnitogorsk the Canadian coach Dave King, who Fedor before that worked as an assistant. HC Spartak Moscow
HC Spartak Moscow (russian: ХК Спартак Москва, en, Spartak Moskva) is a professional ice hockey team based in Moscow, Russia. They played in the Tarasov Division of the Kontinental Hockey League during the 2013–14 KHL season, 2013–14 season. However, the team did not participate in the KHL league for the 2014–15 KHL season, 2014–15 season because of financial issues, but rejoined the league prior to the 2015–16 KHL season, 2015–16 season as members of the Bobrov Division. Metallurg Magnitogorsk (russian: Металлург Магнитогорск) is a professional ice hockey team based in Magnitogorsk, Chelyabinsk Oblast, Russia. They are members of the Kharlamov Division of the Kontinental Hockey League. They also competed in the Champions Hockey League, losing the 2008–09 season championship round to Swiss club, the ZSC Lions. Metallurg Magnitogorsk won the Gagarin Cup in the 2013–14 KHL season and the 2015–16 KHL season. History Metallurg was founded in 1955 by the Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works as a Class B team that competed in the Chelyabinsk Oblast and the RSFSR championships. Dave King (ice Hockey)
W. David King (born December 22, 1947) is a Canadian hockey coach who has been head coach in the National Hockey League (NHL), the Russian Super League, Kontinental Hockey League, Western Hockey League, the Winter Olympics, and the IIHF World Junior Championships. He was born in North Battleford, Saskatchewan. Early life King was born in North Battleford, Saskatchewan. Amateur coaching career King's first coaching job was as an assistant coach with the University of Saskatchewan in the 1972–73 season. He later coached the Billings Bighorns of the Western Hockey League and returned to Saskatchewan, winning three conference championships and being named 1980 Canadian Interuniversity Athletics Union coach of the year. Hockey Club Atlant Moscow Oblast (russian: ХК Атлант Московская область, en, Atlas Hockey Club Moscow Region) was a Russian professional ice hockey team based in Mytishchi, Moscow Oblast. They were members of the Bobrov Division of the Kontinental Hockey League in the 2014–15 season, but have not been active since the 2015–16 season due to financial issues. History Overview Atlant was founded in 2005 when a team (Khimik) based in Voskresensk was relocated to Mytishchi. The old team traced its history back to 1953.
