Fedor Hanžeković
Fedor Hanžeković (9 January 1913 – 18 August 1997) was a Croatian film director. Hanžeković had studied art history and English language at the University of Zagreb Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences before starting his filmmaking career in the years following the end of World War II. Hanžeković made several political documentaries in the 1940s, most notable of which is the 1947 film ''Stepinac at the People's Court'' (''Stepinac pred narodnim sudom''), depicting the postwar trial of Alojzije Stepinac. In the 1950s Hanžeković made a series of screen adaptations of novels penned by Yugoslav authors. He directed a total of three feature-length films, most notably the highly popular 1957 comedy film ''Master of His Own Body'' (''Svoga tela gospodar''), based on the short story by Slavko Kolar and its theatre adaptation directed by Branko Gavella, and filmed in the Kajkavian dialect. Bijeljina
Bijeljina ( sr-cyrl, Бијељина) is a city and municipality in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is the provincial center of Semberija, a geographic region in the country's northeast. Administratively, Bijeljina is part of the Republika Srpska entity. As of 2013, it has a population of 107,715 inhabitants. Kajkavian Dialect
Kajkavian (Kajkavian noun: ''kajkavščina''; Shtokavian adjective: ''kajkavski'' , noun: ''kajkavica'' or ''kajkavština'' ) is a South Slavic regiolect or language spoken primarily by Croats in much of Central Croatia, Gorski Kotar and northern Istria.The Kajkavian speech of northern Istria is conventionally called Kajkavian but the features that differentiate it from neighboring Chakavian are not strictly or distinctly Kajkavian nor are those speech forms located in continuum with any other Kajkavian speech in Croatia. Branko Gavella
Branko Gavella (29 July 1885 – 8 April 1962) was a Croatian theatre director, critic and essayist. Biography Born in Zagreb, Croatia (which was at the time part of Austria-Hungary) Gavella finished high school in his hometown before enrolling at the University of Vienna where he studied philosophy and German studies. He graduated and subsequently earned a doctorate there in 1908, after which he returned to Zagreb. In 1909 he was employed by the National and University Library in Zagreb. He began writing theatre reviews the following year, published in the local German-language daily ''Agramer Tagblatt'', for which he contributed from 1910 to 1918. During this time he was also an active member of the HAŠK sports society, and is known for refereeing the opening match of the first ever Croatian association football league championship in September 1912 played between HŠK Croatia and Tipografski ŠK at HAŠK's ground which later became Maksimir Stadium.
