Federico Álvarez
Federico Hernán Álvarez (born 7 August 1994) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a left-back for Greek Super League club Asteras Tripolis. Career Álvarez's career started in 2012 with Argentine Primera División side Belgrano. He was an unused substitute four times during the 2012–13 season, prior to making his first-team debut on 2 September 2013 in a win against Atlético de Rafaela. In August 2015, Álvarez appeared in the Copa Sudamericana for the first time in a game versus Lanús. By the end of the 2016 campaign, Álvarez made 49 appearances for Belgrano. In his 2016–17 season opener against Boca Juniors, he received his first career red card. On 31 July 2017, Álvarez was loaned to Quilmes of Primera B Nacional. Matías Ezequiel Suárez (; born 9 May 1988) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays for River Plate as a forward. Club career Club Atlético Belgrano Suárez started his professional career at Club Atlético Belgrano in 2006. The 2017–18 Argentine Primera B Nacional is the 33rd season of the Argentine second division. The season began in September 2017 and ended in June 2018. Twenty-five teams competed in the league, seventeen returning from the 2016–17 season, four teams that were relegated from Primera División and two teams promoted from Federal A and B Metropolitana. Competition format The league's format changed from the previous season. Twenty-five teams play each other once for a total of twenty-four matches each. 2016 Copa Sudamericana
The 2016 Copa Sudamericana ( pt, Copa Sul-Americana 2016) was the 15th edition of the Copa Sudamericana, South America's secondary club football tournament organized by CONMEBOL. The finals were originally to be played between Brazilian team Chapecoense and Colombian team Atlético Nacional. However, on 28 November 2016, LaMia Flight 2933, which was carrying the Chapecoense squad to the first leg, crashed on the way to the José María Córdova International Airport. There were 71 fatalities, including 19 of the 22 Chapecoense players on the plane. CONMEBOL immediately suspended all activities, including the scheduled final matches, in the early morning of 29 November. In light of these events, Atlético Nacional requested that CONMEBOL award the title to Chapecoense.
