The Federal League is an Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) sports conference that was established in 1964 and includes schools from Stark and Summit counties. Ohio High School Athletic Association
The Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) is the governing body of athletic programs for junior and senior high schools in the state of Ohio. The OHSAA governs eligibility of student athletes, resolves disputes, organizes levels of competition by divisional separation of schools according to attendance population, and conducts state championship competitions in all the OHSAA-sanctioned sports. Membership There are approximately 820 member high schools and 850 more schools in the 7th-8th grade division of the OHSAA. Most public and private high schools in Ohio belong to the OHSAA. Structure Districts The Association is divided into six districts, each with its own District Athletic Board, including the Central District, East District, Northeast District, Northwest District, Southeast District, and Southwest District. East Central Ohio League (OHSAA)
The East Central Ohio League (ECOL) was an athletic conference of high schools in Ohio sponsored by OHSAA that existed from 1987-2022. Its final member schools were located in Tuscarawas and Washington Counties. Former members were located in Guernsey, Coshocton, Muskingum, and Belmont Counties. History The ECOL was formed in 1987 with the original members being Cambridge, Coshocton, Meadowbrook, and St. Clairsville. Claymont joined the league in 1989, followed by Dover in 1993, who left the Northeastern Buckeye Conference. After the 1996 season, St. Clairsville dropped out. Indian Valley High School left the PAC-7 to replace St. Clairsville for the 1996-97 school year. A year later New Philadelphia left the Federal League and joined. Northeastern Buckeye Conference (OHSAA)
The Northeastern Buckeye Conference (NBC), was an OHSAA high school athletic conference that comprised eight high schools in Northeast Ohio. Final members Former members League history *The NBC was established in September 1988 and began league play in the fall of 1989. The six founding members were Carrollton, Dover, Marlington, Minerva, Northwest, and West Branch. Wooster High School (Ohio)
Wooster High School is a public high school in Wooster, Ohio, United States. It is the only high school in the Wooster City School District. The mascot/nickname of the school is the Generals, named after American Revolutionary War General David Wooster. Wooster's football rivalry with the Orrville High School Red Riders is the oldest rivalry in Wayne County, having first met back in 1903. The Generals currently lead the rivalry by a 52-42-9 margin. Timken High School
Timken High School was a high school in Canton, Ohio. Timken participated in the Principals Athletic Conference (PAC-7/8), before they were absorbed by Canton McKinley in 2015. Formation Timken Vocational High School was built in the 1930s by a donation from the Timken Foundation to the city of Canton, Ohio. As part of the Canton City School District with four quadrants and three district high schools, students could choose to take a test and enter a vocational program at Timken from any of the quadrants. Students were given opportunity to explore several occupational experiences during their Sophomore year. Their Junior and Senior year was spent in their choice of vocational program. For many years, the Timken Company hired the highest achieving Seniors and graduates from Secretarial Class, the Machine Shop, Electric Shop, Data Processing, and Welding Shop. Marlington High School
Marlington High School is a public high school in Lexington Township, Ohio near Alliance. It is the only high school in the Marlington Local School District. The name is a portmanteau of Marlboro and Lexington or Washington townships, and the district actually covers those mostly rural areas and northern, western, and southern parts of Alliance itself (the middle and high schools are located just outside the city limits, and there is an elementary school in each of the three townships). Louisville High School is a public high school located in Louisville, Ohio, United States. It is the only high school in the Louisville City School District. It serves all of the city of Louisville and the majority of the surrounding Nimishillen Township. History The first schoolhouse within Louisville was a one-room log cabin located on the corner of Nickelplate and Main Streets. It was built in the 1840s and was replaced by a two-room brick edifice in the 1850s. This new school was located on the northeast corner of Mill and Broad Streets.
