Federal Donuts is an American fast food chain serving donuts, coffee, and fried chicken. The chain is based in Philadelphia, and is owned by Michael Solomonov. History The founders were inspired to open the restaurant by Philadelphia-based Cafe Soho, which serves Korean fried chicken. The first location was opened in Pennsport in 2011, and , the company has six locations, in addition to stands in Citizens Bank Park. A Miami branch opened in 2017 and closed in 2018. Michael Solomonov
Michael Solomonov ( he, מייקל סולומונוב; born 1978) is an Israeli chef known for his restaurants in Center City, Philadelphia. His first restaurant Zahav, founded in 2008, has received national recognition including the James Beard Foundation "Outstanding Restaurant" in 2019. Solomonov was also awarded Best Chef: Mid-Atlantic in 2011, Cookbook of the Year in 2016, and Outstanding Chef in 2017 from the James Beard Foundation. In 2021, ''The New York Times'' named his restaurant Laser Wolf as one of "the 50 places in America we're most excited about right now." Little Baby's Ice Cream was an ice cream company based in Philadelphia. History The company began in 2011, selling ice cream from tricycles. A brick and mortar location opened in August 2012. The company received national attention for a 2012 commercial, "This is a Special Time", in which a person apparently made of ice cream uses a spoon to consume ice cream from their own head. The commercial was directed by Doug Garth Williams and narrated by Matthias Bossi, with the ice cream person portrayed by Asa Scheibe. The music was composed by Jon Guez.
