Complexe Guy-Favreau is a twelve-storey building complex containing Canadian government offices built in 1984. It is located at 200 René Lévesque Boulevard in Ville-Marie, Montréal and extends over a six-acre plot of land, formerly part of the Montreal Chinatown. The complex is named after Guy Favreau, a former MP, federal cabinet minister and briefly Quebec Superior Court Justice. The building complex came about as a joint venture between the federal government, who served as the head of the project, as well as private businesses, the City of Montreal, and the Desjardins Group. Dominion Public Building (Halifax)
The Dominion Public Building is an Art Deco-style office building located in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Completed in 1936, it served as the central post office for the City of Halifax and housed various other government offices. A four-story addition using similar materials was added to the north of the original building in 1962. In the early 1990s, Canada Post transferred the building to Public Works and Government Services Canada, Public Works Canada. Public Works undertook extensive interior renovations to convert the building to general office use, which included the installation of a glass atrium over the former lightwell, light court of the 4th-7th floors to create more contiguous space. The Government of Canada Building is one of the tallest buildings in Moncton, New Brunswick. The building is 34 meters tall and has 9 floors.
