Tony Fayne
Fayne and Evans were an English comedy duo who were popular in the late 1940s and 1950s. They were Tony Fayne (born Anthony Terence Alfred Senington; 18 January 1924–30 November 2009) and David Evans (David Frank Evans; 10 March 1922–14 February 1980). History They were both born in Bristol, and studied together at Bristol Cathedral School. Together, they devised a routine of impersonations, and won a talent contest in 1940, after which they appeared on Jack Payne's BBC radio show, ''Your Company is Requested''. They were called up for military service, and both served in the Fleet Air Arm, but did not meet up again until they were both working as insurance clerks in 1948, and decided to revive their act. They appeared on ''Variety Bandbox'' in 1949, and frequently on the BBC Light Programme from then on. As well as performing their own routines, they acted as comperes on other shows. Mark C. Fayne (born May 15, 1987) is an American former professional ice hockey player. He played with the New Jersey Devils and Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was selected by the Devils in the 5th round (155th overall) of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career Early career Fayne was born in Nashua, New Hampshire and raised in Bourne, Massachusetts. He attended Providence College where he played four seasons (2006–10) of Hockey East college hockey. Before Providence College, he played hockey for the prestigious Noble and Greenough School under the coaching of Brian Day. New Jersey Devils Turning professional for the 2010–11 season, Fayne had played only 16 games for the Devils' AHL affiliate Albany Devils before receiving an emergency call-up to the NHL on November 22, 2010. Georgia "George" Fayne is a character in the popular ''Nancy Drew Mystery Stories'' series. She is one of Nancy's best friends and cousin of Bess Marvin. Her birth name is Georgia, although no one calls her that except her parents. (This is a change made in the 1980s; one volume, ''The Clue in the Old Stagecoach'' in 1960, mentioned her real name as Georgia on the title page, but this was altered after the first few printings.
