Favour Ashe
Favour Ashe (born 28 April 2002) is a Nigerian track and field athlete who competes in the short sprints. Ashe attended Otovwodo Grammar School in Ughelli, Nigeria before enrolling as a student at the University of Tennessee. Having only arrived in America in January 2022, Ashe came third in the men's 60-meter dash at the 2022 NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships, and was runner up in the 100 metres at the 2022 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships. He also came fourth in the 4 x 100m relay running with Wayne Pinnock, Carey McLeod and Emmanuel Bynum. In 2022 Ashe ran the fastest time in history by any Nigerian athlete in all conditions, running a wind assisted 9.79s (+3.0) 100m heat at the LSU invitational meet in Baton Rouge. 2022 World Athletics Championships
The 2022 World Athletics Championships was the eighteenth edition of the World Athletics Championships. It was held at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon, United States, from July 15–24, 2022, with the country hosting that competition for the first time. The competition was originally scheduled for August 6–15, 2021, but it was postponed by one year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Carey McLeod
Carey McLeod (born 14 April 1998) is a Jamaican athlete who competes in the long jump and triple jump. McLeod studied at Kingston College in Jamaica before moving to the University of Tennessee. He placed himself among the top-10 triple-jumping collegians in NCAA indoor history, recording a mark of 17.17m to win the men’s triple jump at the SEC Championships in Fayetteville. As well as setting a new school record he surpassed the 2020 Olympic qualifying standard, in addition to being the No. 1 mark in the NCAA and No. 3 in the world for the 2020-21 indoor campaign. His efforts in both the long jump and the triple jump earned him a nomination for the NCAA indoor field event athlete of 2020.
