Corinne Faut (born 10 May 1960) is a Belgian general. From 2009 to 2014, she was Director General of the Royal Higher Institute for Defence (), the highest military academy of the Belgian Army. She was promoted to Brigadier general in 2014. She was also appointed Director General of the Defense Communications Directorate. She graduated in 1982 with a master's degree in aeronautical and military sciences from the Royal Military Academy. Jean Anna Faut [Winsch/Eastman] (born November 17, 1925) is an American retired starting pitcher who played from through in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League. Listed at , 137 lb., she batted and threw right-handed. Jean Faut is considered by baseball historians and researchers as the greatest overhand pitcher in AAGPBL history. From 1946 through 1953, Faut set several all-time and single-season records. She compiled a lifetime record of 140–64 with a 1.23 earned run average in 235 games pitched, pitching appearances, registering the lowest career ERA for any pitcher in the league. Volly De Faut
Voltaire "Volly" De Faut (March 14, 1904 – May 29, 1973) was an American jazz reed player. De Faut was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, United States, but his family moved to Chicago when he was six. He played with Sig Meyers in the early 1920s and then spent time in the New Orleans Rhythm Kings before joining Art Kassel. His first recordings were made with Muggsy Spanier in 1924; he recorded with Jelly Roll Morton the following year. Later in the 1920s he played with Merritt Brunies and Jean Goldkette, and played for a time in Detroit. During the early 1920s, he also played with The Bucktown Five. Around the end of the decade De Faut held several positions in theater orchestras in Chicago, and also worked as a studio musician. He started his own dog breeding business but abandoned it to join the military and play in bands there. "Il faut du temps" (also known under the full title "Il faut du temps (Je me battrai pour ça)"; ; "It takes time (I will fight for that)") was the entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 2002, performed in French by Sandrine François. The song was co-written by French singer Patrick Bruel, and produced by Erick Benzi. The song was also released in English under the title "After the rain". Composition The song is an upbeat ballad in which Sandrine François explains that everything good in life takes time, and that she is prepared to fight to achieve her goals. The composition has been compared to the likes of ballads performed by Celine Dion, pointing to the fact that Erick Benzi, the song's producer, is responsible for producing many of Dion's songs and hits.
