Fatshark
Fatshark is a Swedish video game development studio based in Stockholm, Sweden. The studio is located in Stockholm. Fatshark acted as a subcontractor for several AAA titles for PC and consoles, and the studio also develops its own games. In January 2021, Tencent acquired majority control of the studio. History Fatshark originated from a company called Northplay, which subcontracted for various Swedish companies between 2003 and 2008. The company is best known for its involvement with the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360; developing for both, ''Bionic Commando Rearmed 2'' and versions of their PC game '' Lead and Gold: Gangs of the Wild West''. In January 2019, Tencent acquired about a 36% stake in Fatshark in a deal worth approximately (around ). Bionic Commando Rearmed 2
''Bionic Commando Rearmed 2'' is a run-and-gun platform game developed by Fatshark and published by Capcom. A sequel to the '' Bionic Commando Rearmed'', it features enhancements to protagonist Rad Spencer's bionic arm, which he primarily uses to grapple to and swing from objects. New bionic enhancements include abilities such as hacking data terminals, a powerful uppercut, and firing grenades. The game's plot revolves around a dictator named General Sabio and a missing commander from Spencer's organization, Colonel Brubaker. Spencer and a team of four other bionics are sent to locate Brubaker and his platoon and help them complete their mission of disarming Sabio's missiles. The team's original mission evolves as the bionics, split into three teams, face opposition greater than they have previously faced. Reception from critics was lukewarm. Fatshark developed the game following the studio's moderate success after developing '' Lead and Gold: Gangs of the Wild West'' and other titles. ''Krater'' was released in 2012 via the Steam digital distribution platform. Gameplay Krater is a squad-based real-time strategy role-playing game. The player controls a team of gas masked survivalists in a post-apocalyptic Sweden. Players venture in a post-apocalyptic world scoured by a nuclear war. Players can command up to three characters, but reserve members may be purchased. The combat system of the game is fashioned similar to Blizzard's '' Diablo'' series. Darktide
''Warhammer 40,000: Darktide'' is a first-person action video game set in the ''Warhammer 40,000'' universe, developed and published by Fatshark. It is a spiritual successor to '' Warhammer: Vermintide'' series. It was released for Microsoft Windows on 30 November 2022. The release for Xbox Series X/S will be revealed by Paul Naylor of the entertainment zone at a later date. Gameplay The game uses a similar formula to that used in Fatshark's '' Warhammer: Vermintide 2'' in which four players cooperate to defeat periodic waves of AI-controlled enemies.
