Fatoş Sezer
Fatoş Sezer (31 January 1958 – 1 June 2011) was a Turkish actress. Life and career Fatoş Sezer was born in 1958 in Gölcük as the youngest of three children in her family. Her parents were Polish immigrants who had escaped to Turkey during World War II. Sezer's father died when she was 6 years old; her mother died four years later. She married her first husband at the age of 17. In 1980, she began modelling and in the same year started to take acting, dance and custom designing lessons at Bilsak Theatre. She made her cinematic debut four years later with a role in '' Gönlüm ve Ben''. She then started a relationship with stage actor Beklan Algan, before moving to Paris to continue her studies. She studied French language and literature at the College of Sorbonne. In 1986, Sezer married director Mehmet Ulusoy in Paris. She then joined the crew of Theatre de Liberte, founded by Ulusoy. Gölcük is a city and district of Kocaeli Province in the Marmara region of Turkey. The city is located at the northern gulf of Armutlu Peninsula on the coast of Gulf of İzmit, a branch of the Sea of Marmara, in the south of the province. Şişli Mosque
The Şişli Mosque ( tr, Şişli Camii) is a mosque located in Şişli Square between the Büyükdere Avenue, the Halaskargazi and Abide-i Hürriyet streets in the Şişli district of Istanbul, Turkey. Due to lack of any mosque in Şişli, which got incorporated into the urban area with the rapid expansion of the city in the 1940s, the residents demanded the building of a mosque. With the initiative of Mayor Lütfi Kırdar, a land of was left over to a symbolic price to the trustees of the mosque. Designed in classical Ottoman architectural style by architect Ali Vasfi Egeli, its construction began in 1945, and it was opened to worship in 1949. It is the first mosque in Turkey ever built after 1923, in the Republican era. The mosque, built of gritstone (coarse-grained sandstone) ashlar, is situated in a walled courtyard having three gates. ''Habertürk'' (literally: "News Turkish"), abbreviated as ''HT'', was a high-circulation Turkish newspaper. It was established on March 1, 2009 by Ciner Media Group, drawing on the brand of Ciner's Habertürk TV. It ceased publication on 5 July, 2018. The newspaper sold on its first day of publication 360,000 copies. At 10 hours local time, the first issue was outsold. The next day's circulation totaled to 202,000. Kurtuluş
Kurtuluş is a neighbourhood of the Şişli district of Istanbul that was originally called ''Tatavla,'' meaning 'stables' in Greek ( el, Ταταύλα). The modern Turkish name means "liberation", "salvation", "independence" or "deliverance". On 13 April 1929, six years after the Republic of Turkey was founded, a fire swept through the neighbourhood and largely destroyed it, with 207 houses going up in flames. The name was changed to Kurtuluş to mark the rebuilding of the area. Once a predominantly Greek Orthodox neighbourhood, its population today mostly consists of Turks who moved there after the Republic of Turkey was founded in 1923. There is still a small population or Greeks, Armenians and Jews, as well as some Kurds who are relatively recent economic migrants. Şişli () is one of the 39 districts of Istanbul, Turkey. Located on the European side of the city, it is bordered by Beşiktaş to the east, Sarıyer to the north, Eyüp and Kağıthane to the west, and Beyoğlu to the south.
