Fatimah Abdullah
Fatimah Abdullah née Ting Sai Ming is a Malaysian politician from the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB), a component party of the ruling Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) coalition. She has served as the State Minister of Women, Early Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development of Sarawak under Chief Ministers Abang Abdul Rahman Johari Abang Openg, Adenan Satem and Abdul Taib Mahmud since September 2011 as well as and Member of the Sarawak State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Dalat since September 2001. Malay Titles
The Malay language has a complex system of styles, titles and honorifics which are used extensively in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and the southern Philippines. Abang Abdul Rahman Johari Abang Openg
Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari bin Abang Haji Openg ( Jawi: ابڠ عبد الرحمن جوهري بن ابڠ اوڤيڠ; born 4 August 1950), familiarly known as Abang Jo or Abang Johari, is a Malaysian politician who has served as Premier of Sarawak since March 2022. He has been Member of the Sarawak State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Gedong since 2021, having previously been MLA for Satok from 1981 to 2021. He was the sixth and last Chief Minister of Sarawak from 2017 before the title was changed to premier in 2022. He was also the MLA for Satok from May 1981 to December 2021. Abang Johari took over as the chief minister following the death of his predecessor Adenan Satem in January 2017. 2006 Sarawak State Election
The ninth Sarawak state election was held on Saturday, 20 May 2006 with nomination day on Tuesday, 9 May 2006. The election functioned to elect 71 representatives to the Sarawak State Assembly (''Dewan Undangan Negeri'' in Malay). The eighth state assembly was dissolved by Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak, Tun Abang Muhammad Salahuddin Abang Barieng by the advice of Chief Minister Abdul Taib Mahmud, on 24 April 2006. On nomination day, Barisan Nasional won two seats without contest. This election saw 892,537 voters eligible to cast their ballots. The previous state election was held in 2001, when the ruling Barisan Nasional (BN) won 60 out of 62 seats in the eighth state assembly. The eighth Sarawak state election was held on Thursday, 27 September 2001 with nomination date on Tuesday, 18 September 2001. Melanau
Melanau or ''A-Likou'' (meaning River people in Mukah dialect) is an ethnic group indigenous to Sarawak, Malaysia. They are among the earliest settlers of Sarawak. They speak in the Melanau language, which is a part of the North Bornean branch of Malayo-Polynesian languages. Origins In the 19th century, the Melanaus settled in scattered communities along the main tributaries of the Rajang River in Central Sarawak. they like to be known as Melanau or A-Likou. Fuzhou People
Fuzhou people (; Foochow Romanized: ''Hók-ciŭ-nè̤ng''), also known as, Foochowese, Hokchew, Hokchia, Hokchiu, Fuzhou Shiyi people (), Eastern Min or Mindong refer to Chinese who originate from the Fuzhou and Mindong regions and the Gutian and Pingnan counties of Fujian province and Matsu Islands in Taiwan.
