Fatih Erdin
Fatih Erdin (born February 1, 1994) is a Turkish freestyle wrestler competing in the 86 kg division. He is a member of İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyesi S.K. He qualified to the final game of 2018 World Wrestling Championships which was held in Budapest, Hungary on 20 and 21 October 2018 and won the silver medal. Career Fatih Erdin participated in 2018 Ivan Yargyin Grand-Prix competition, where he could successfully obtain a silver medal. He defeated Zaur Beradze, Almas Zhunis and Vladislav Valiev to reach the final where he lost to American champion David Taylor. Fatih Erdin also won a silver medal in 2014 Dmitri Korkin Tournament in Russia, a gold medal in 2011 Poland Cadets European Championship, a silver in 2019 Ivan Yargyin Grand-Prix, a gold medal in G. Kartozia & V. Balavadze Price in Georgia, a bronze medal in 2018 Alexander Medved Prizes and a bronze medal in the 2018 Yaşar Doğu. European Juniors Wrestling Championships
The European Wrestling Championships is the second oldest international wrestling competition of the modern world and the main wrestling championships in Europe. It predates World Wrestling Championships and other regional wrestling championships and is second only to the wrestling events at the Olympics. From its inception in 1898 till 1927 only Greco-Roman wrestling was contested. Since 1929 separate freestyle wrestling events were held as well. Since 1970 the two Olympic wrestling styles were contested together during the same unified events. Since 1973 Sambo wrestling was included into the championships programme along with GR and freestyle wrestling (subsequently discontinued and from 1983 contested separately). Since 2014 associated traditional wrestling styles recognized globally by UWW were incorporated into the annual championships schedule. Ivan Sergeyevich Yarygin ( rus, Иван Сергеевич Ярыгин, p=ɪˈvan sʲɪrˈɡʲe(j)ɪvʲɪtɕ jɪˈrɨɡʲɪn; 7 November 1948 – 11 October 1997) was a Soviet and Russian heavyweight freestyle wrestler. Between 1970 and 1980 he won all his major international competitions, except for the 1970 and 1974 European championships where he placed second. Yarygin was an Olympic champion in 1972 and 1976, being the first wrestler to go through an Olympic competition with straight pin victories and no foul points, a world champion in 1973, a World Cup winner five times, has never lost a single match in World Cup competition, and a European champion in 1972 and 1975–76, and won a world cup in 1973, 1976–77 and 1979–80. Nikola Petrov ( bg, Никола Петров), better known as Nikola Petroff, (19 December 1873 – 2 January 1925) was a Bulgarian wrestler. He was born in the town of Gorna Oryahovitsa, Bulgaria.
