Andisheh ( fa, انديشه, also Romanized as Andīsheh) is a city in the Central District of Shahriar County, Tehran Province, Iran. The 2006 census reported its population as 75,596, in 19,945 families. However, in the last census of population in Iran, the population of this city was about 116,063. Andisheh is a new, planned city, located from Tehran, northwest of Shahriar, and southeast of Karaj. The number of people who settled in this new settlement city in 2000 was 31,650, and the number is expected to reach 50,000 by the end of the "Third Plan".
