Fateh Hyderabad Associated Football Club, also known as Fateh Hyderabad FC, is an Indian professional football club based in Hyderabad, Telangana, that last competed in the I-League 2nd Division, then second tier of Indian football league system. History Inception Fateh Hyderabad was founded in 2015. The club is owned by Yogesh Maurya and Aditya Narayanan, who studied together at Wharton Business School. They officially launched the club on 4 September at Park Hyatt Hyderabad. Its infrastructure for training and player accommodation is situated at Gundlapochampalli, which is located in the outskirts of Hyderabad. Yogesh Maurya is also a part of the coaching staff and attended AIFF's AFC 'B' Coaching Licence Course in Goa in September 2015 to improve his understanding of the game. The Nizams were the rulers of Hyderabad from the 18th through the 20th century. Nizam of Hyderabad (Niẓām ul-Mulk, also known as Asaf Jah) was the title of the monarch of the Hyderabad State ( divided between the state of Telangana, Marathwada, Marathwada region of Maharashtra and Kalyana-Karnataka region of Karnataka). Saihou Jagne (, born on 10 October 1986) is a Gambian professional footballer who plays as a striker and last played for Shillong Lajong FC in the I-League. Lal Bahadur Shastri (; 2 October 1904 – 11 January 1966) was an Indian politician and statesman who served as the 2nd Prime Minister of India from 1964 to 1966 and 6th Home Minister of India from 1961 to 1963. He promoted the White Revolution – a national campaign to increase the production and supply of milk – by supporting the Amul milk co-operative of Anand, Gujarat and creating the National Dairy Development Board. Underlining the need to boost India's food production, Shastri also promoted the Green Revolution in India in 1965. The Lal Bahadur Shastri Stadium, formerly known as Fateh Maidan, is a multi-purpose sports stadium in Hyderabad, Telangana. The stadium is primarily used for cricket and association football. The stadium was renamed in 1967 in memory of Lal Bahadur Shastri, India's former Prime Minister. As of 19 August 2017, it has hosted 3 Tests and 14 ODIs. Kunzang Bhutia (born 3 January 1994) is an Indian professional footballer who currently plays as a goalkeeper for Bengaluru United.
