Fashion File
''Fashion File'' was a Canadian television series, which aired on CBC Television and CBC Newsworld, as well as internationally in syndication, from 1989 to 2009. The series covered fashion industry news. Fashion File was created and developed bKaren Morrison who was the program Series Producer & Director. The series was hosted from its inception until 2006 by Tim Blanks, who left the show at the end of 2006 to join the Canadian fashion magazine ''Flare'' as editor-at-large. Over the winter of 2007, the CBC aired ''Fashion File Host Hunt'', a short-run reality show in which ten finalists competed to become the new host of the show. Adrian Mainella was chosen as the new host of the series at the end of the ''Host Hunt''. Other contestants included Peter Papapetrou, Manny Neubacher, Justin Singh, Paul Pogue, Mary Kitchen, Stephanie Pigott, Jamey Ordolis, Raji Sohal and Henrietta Southam. CBC Television
CBC Television (also known as CBC TV) is a Canadian English-language broadcast television network owned by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, the national public broadcaster. The network began operations on September 6, 1952. Its French-language counterpart is Ici Radio-Canada Télé. CBC Newsworld
CBC News Network (formerly CBC Newsworld) is a Canadian English-language specialty news channel owned by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC). It broadcasts into over 10 million homes in Canada. As Canada's first all-news channel, it is the world's third-oldest television service of this nature, after CNN in the United States and Sky News in the United Kingdom. It is funded by cable subscriber fees and commercial advertising. Unlike the CBC's main television network, the channel cannot directly receive operational funds from the corporation's public funding allotment—although it does benefit from synergies with other CBC services, such as the ability to share reporters and programs with the main network. Tim Blanks
Tim Blanks (born ) is a Canadian-New Zealander fashion journalist, broadcaster and writer. Career Blanks is the former host of the television show ''Fashion File'', which he hosted from 1989 until 2006. He worked as editor-at-large for Style.com, where he hosted Throwback Thursdays, a fashion retrospective. In 2015, he became Editor-at-Large of fashion website ''The Business of Fashion''. Blanks has written for a number of international magazines and newspapers, including Another, LOVE, Interview, The New York Times, Fantastic Man and System. History ''Flare'' was created by Maclean-Hunter publishing in 1979, as a rebranding of ''Miss Chatelaine'' magazine. ''Flare'' promotes itself as "Canada's Fashion magazine".
