Farside (band)
Farside was an American hardcore punk band formed in Orange County, California, United States, in 1989. The group disbanded in 2000. History The original members were Michael "Popeye" Vogelsang (vocals, guitar), Robert Haworth (guitar), Josh Stanton ( bass) and Robert Beshear (drums). Stanton left the band soon after recording the first demo to join 411, which featured future Farside guitarist/vocalist Kevin Murphy. Zack de la Rocha briefly played second lead guitar in 1990-1991, on their second demo (which was part of the Scrap album). Shortly after, he left to focus on the newly formed Rage Against the Machine. The band recorded the "Keep My Soul Awake" EP, followed by the ''Rochambeau'' LP. After "Rochambeau," Haworth left the band to form State of the Nation. Kevin Murphy then joined temporarily to complete the band's 1992-1993 European tour, becoming a full-time member shortly after. Misfits (band)
The Misfits are an American punk rock band often recognized as the pioneers of the horror punk subgenre, blending punk and other musical influences with horror film themes and imagery. The group was founded in 1977 in Lodi, New Jersey, by vocalist, songwriter and keyboardist Glenn Danzig, and drummer Manny Martínez. Jerry Only joined on bass guitar shortly after. Over the next six years, membership would change frequently with Danzig and Only remaining the two sole consistent members. Sense Field
Sense Field was an American post-hardcore band from Southern California, formed in 1990. Originally consisting of vocalist Jon Bunch, guitarist Chris Evenson, guitarist Rodney Sellars, bassist John Stockberger, and drummer Scott McPherson, the band formed from the ashes of hardcore punk band, Reason to Believe. Sense Field disbanded in 2004 although briefly reformed for two Revelation Records anniversary shows, as well as a pair of memorial shows in 2016, following the death of Jon Bunch. ''Attack of the Show!'' (''AOTS'') is an American live television program and that aired on G4 (American TV network), G4. AOTS features segments on pop culture, video games, and movies. The Aquabats
The Aquabats are an American rock band formed in Huntington Beach, California, in 1994. Throughout many fluctuations in the group's line-up, singer the MC Bat Commander and bassist Crash McLarson have remained the band's two constant fixtures. Since 2006, the Aquabats' members also include keyboardist Jimmy the Robot, drummer Ricky Fitness and guitarist Eaglebones Falconhawk. Adamantium (band)
Bane was an American hardcore punk band that began in 1995 as a side project between Aaron Dalbec (then of Converge) and Damon Bellorado. Dalbec approached Matt Firestone to sing and they played under the moniker of Gateway for a few shows, before Firestone parted ways to focus on other projects. Dalbec then approached Aaron Bedard (who had previously sung for the Worcester, Massachusetts hardcore band Backbone) about singing for Bane. They went into the studio in December 1995 with a few friends and released a five-song demo. The next year saw the release of their first EP, and many shows throughout central Massachusetts. In early 1997, Bane released ''Free to Think, Free to Be'' EP, and in 1998 the band released the '' Holding This Moment'' 7" and CD collection, and embarked upon their first US tour. Metalcore
Metalcore (also known as metallic hardcore) is a fusion music genre that combines elements of extreme metal and hardcore punk. As with other styles blending metal and hardcore, such as crust punk and grindcore, metalcore is noted for its use of breakdowns, slow, intense passages conducive to moshing. Other defining instrumental qualities include heavy riffs and stop-start rhythm guitar playing, occasional blast beats, and double bass drumming. Vocalists in the genre typically use thrash or scream vocals. Some later metalcore bands combine this with clean singing, often during the chorus. Ignite is a melodic hardcore band from Orange County, California. Formed in 1993, their commercial breakthrough album, '' A Place Called Home'', was released in 2000 on TVT Records.
