John Villiers Farrow, KGCHS (10 February 190427 January 1963) was an Australian film director, producer, and screenwriter. Born in Prince William County in the Colony of Virginia in 1762, Farrow moved to South Carolina with his father's family, who settled in Spartanburg District in 1765. Kenneth Farrow GC (29 May 1924 – 30 March 2007) was an English Police officer and recipient of the Albert Medal, one of the highest medals for civilian gallantry in the United Kingdom, which was later exchanged for the George Cross. Early life He was born in Sedgefield, County Durham, the only son of William and Christina Farrow.
