Faros Keratsiniou B.C. (alternate spellings: Pharos, Keratsini), or simply, Faros B.C., is a Greek professional basketball club that is based in Keratsini, Attica, Greece. The club's full name is Athlitikos Omilos Faros Keratsiniou, which means Sporting Group Lighthouse Keratsini ( Greek: Αθλητικός Όμιλος Φάρος Κερατσινίου), abbreviated as A.O. Faros Keratsiniou. The club's emblem is a lighthouse. In 2017, the professional team merged with G.S. Larissas Faros, which received the spot of Keratsiniou in the Greek Basket League. Keratsini
Keratsini ( el, Κερατσίνι) is a suburb in the western part of the Piraeus regional unit, part of the Athens Urban Area. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Keratsini-Drapetsona, of which it is the seat and a municipal unit. Geography Keratsini is situated on the Saronic Gulf coast, northwest of Piraeus and about west of Athens city centre. The municipal unit has an area of 7.601 km2. The coastal area consists mainly of port facilities, part of the Port of Piraeus. Culture Keratsini has its own non-professional choir (mixed voices, SATB).
