Musharraf Ali Farooqui
Musharraf Ali Farooqi (born 26 July 1968) is a Pakistani-Canadian author, translator, and storyteller. Farooqi was among the five writers shortlisted for Asia's most prestigious literary prize in 2012. In addition to his fiction and translation projects, he is working on establishing an Urdu language publishing program specializing in children's literature and classics. He founded the publishing house KITAB (2012), launched the online index Urdu Thesaurus (2016), and designed the interactive storytelling and reading initiative STORYKIT Program (2016). Muhibullah Allahabadi
Shaykh (or Shah) Muhibullah Allahabadi, or Muhibb ullah Ilahabadi ( ur, محب اللہ الہ آبادی; मुहिबउल्लाह इलाहाबादी 1587–30 July 1648) was a Sufi scholar who was active in Allahabad in northern India during the reign of the Mughul emperor Shah Jahan. He is noted as a leading proponent of the Sufi doctrine of ''Wahdat al-Wujud'', sometimes called "Oneness of Being". Some Sufis consider that he was a saint. Life Muhibullah was born in 1587in India. He was a descendant of Fariduddin Ganjshakar. His home was in Sadarpur in Awadh. There he compiled a commentary in Arabic on Ibn Arabi's Fusus ul-Hikam. Sachal Sarmast
Sachal Sarmast or Sacho Sarmast ( sd, سچو سرمست (1739–1827), born Abdul Wahab Farooqi ( ur, عبد الوہاب فاروقی) was a prominent and a legendary Sindhi Sufi poet from Sindh (Mehran) in modern-day Pakistan. Biography Sachal Sarmast wrote poetry in seven languages: Sindhi, Siraiki, Persian, Urdu, Balochi, Punjabi and Arabic. He lived during the Kalhoro/Talpur era. He was born in 1152 H. ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb ( ar, عمر بن الخطاب, also spelled Omar, ) was the second Rashidun caliph, ruling from August 634 until his assassination in 644. Shah Abdul Aziz
Shah Abdul Aziz Muhaddith Dehlavi (11 October 1746 – 5 June 1824; ) was Muhaddith (scholar of Hadith) and Mujadid Sufi and reformer from India. He was of the Naqshbandi Sufi order which emerged from a tradition of violent backlash against the modernization of Sunni culture. Naseer Ahmad Faruqui OBE, SPk, HQA (15 December 1906 – 5 December 1991) was a prominent civil servant of Pakistan and prior to that in British India. Nisar Ahmed Faruqi (29 June 1934 – 28 November 2004) was an Indian scholar and authority on Sufism in South Asia, with over 50 works and 700 articles to his credit. Early life Professor Nisar Ahmed Faruqi was born at Amroha in Uttar Pradesh, the son of Tasleem Ahmed Faruqi and Maimoona Khatoon. He was the eldest of three siblings. His family traces its lineage to the second caliph of Islam, Umar, through 41 links and to Baba Farid through 22 links.
