Fardaws Aimaq
Fardaws Aimaq (born January 6, 1999) is a Canadian basketball player for the California Golden Bears of the Pac-12 Conference. He previously played for the Mercer Bears, Utah Valley Wolverines, and Texas Tech Red Raiders. Early life and high school career Aimaq grew up swimming and practiced mixed martial arts for 11 years, earning a black belt. He started playing competitive basketball after growing to 6'3" during eighth grade. Aimaq attended Steveston-London Secondary School in Richmond, British Columbia. He led his team to its first-ever AAA provincial title game. Aimaq played a postgraduate season at Bridgton Academy in Bridgton, Maine. He averaged 18.6 points and 13.8 rebounds per game, earning First Team All-NEPSAC Class AAA honors. Aimaq committed to playing college basketball for Mercer. Steveston-London Secondary School
Steveston-London Secondary School (SLSS) is a public high school in Richmond, British Columbia for pupils grades 8-12. Steveston-London Secondary follows the semester course system. Origin Before the establishment of Steveston-London Secondary School, Steveston Secondary School and Charles E. London Secondary School were two high schools close together. However, both schools were merged into one because of declining enrollment. The name "Steveston-London Secondary School" was chosen on June 14, 2006 as decided in a student vote from both schools. Mark Ellsworth Madsen (born January 28, 1976) is an American basketball coach and former NBA player who is the head coach of Utah Valley University of the Western Athletic Conference (WAC). Due to his hustle and physical style of play, he received the nickname "Mad Dog" while playing for the San Ramon Valley High School Wolves - the moniker continued during his time with the Stanford Cardinal and beyond. The NCAA transfer portal is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) application, database, and compliance tool launched on October 15, 2018, to manage and facilitate the process for student athletes seeking to transfer between member institutions. The transfer portal permits student athletes to place their name in an online database declaring their desire to transfer. Athletes enter the portal by informing their current school of their desire to transfer; the school then has two business days to enter the athlete's name in the database. Once an athlete's name is entered in the database, coaches and staff from other schools are permitted to make contact with the athlete to inquire about their interest in visiting the campus and accepting a scholarship. Utah Valley Wolverines
The Utah Valley Wolverines represent Utah Valley University in NCAA DI collegiate athletics and sponsor 16 sporting programs. The Wolverines participate in the Western Athletic Conference. The school mascot is the Wolverine, and the colors are green and white. The UVU student section is called The Den. A name change from The Mawl, the student section's previous name, was enacted in 2017. All UVU students can get their Den pass, which includes free admission to all athletic events. The Utah Tech Trailblazers men's basketball team represents Utah Tech University (formerly known as Dixie State), in St. George, Utah as a member of NCAA Division I and the Western Athletic Conference (WAC).
