''Far from the Lies'' is the second full-length album by rock band Greeley Estates, released on June 6, 2006, through Record Collection. The album is the last to feature Greeley Estates' emo/post-hardcore sound before the band moved to metalcore on the next album ''Go West Young Man, Let the Evil Go East''. The sound on ''Far From the Lies'' was described as having "songs that float between choruses, using a dash of post-hardcore here, a pinch of screamo there, and a warm helping of some modern rock." Greeley Estates
Greeley Estates was an American metalcore band from Maricopa County, Arizona. Formed in 2002, the band released five full-length studio albums and four EPs. The group initially had an emo-influenced post-hardcore sound, but later shifted to the metalcore genre with their third studio album ''Go West Young Man, Let the Evil Go East'' (2008). Greeley Estates signed to Tragic Hero Records and Ferret Music in 2009 and released their fourth full-length album '' No Rain, No Rainbow'' in 2010, which features an even heavier sound. The band released their fifth and most recent full-length ''The Death of Greeley Estates'' on August 9, 2011 (not to be confused with their 2005 DVD of the same name), to which its sound was cited by vocalist Ryan Zimmerman as a hybrid between their previous two albums. Record Collection is an independent Los Angeles, California-based creative music studio founded by Jordan Tappis. Record Collection is home to a diverse roster which includes music from current Red Hot Chili Peppers' guitarist John Frusciante, The Walkmen, Blake Mills, Dawes, Murs, Black Knights and management clients Blake Mills, Matt Sweeney and Fiona Apple. Notable releases Between June 2004 and February 2005, the label released a series of six albums by John Frusciante. Lou Giordano
Lou Giordano (born c. 1957) is a record producer and recording engineer who co-founded Radiobeat Studios. He worked at Fort Apache Studios when it was located in Boston, and was a partner in the production company Prodco, which had close ties with Fort Apache. Giordano received a degree in electrical engineering from MIT. He was a sound man for Hüsker Dü through 1988, and later produced Bob Mould's spin off Sugar. Giordano also built effects pedals for Mission of Burma. He has produced a wide variety of bands, including Sunny Day Real Estate and the Goo Goo Dolls. Metalcore
Metalcore (also known as metallic hardcore) is a fusion music genre that combines elements of extreme metal and hardcore punk. As with other styles blending metal and hardcore, such as crust punk and grindcore, metalcore is noted for its use of breakdowns, slow, intense passages conducive to moshing.
