Faqir Aizazuddin
Faqir Syed Aizazuddin (17 August 1935 – 8 May 2017), also known as Aizaz Faqir, Fakir Aizazuddin and S. A. V. Fakir, was a Pakistani cricketer. Early career Aizazuddin made his first-class debut during his five years of study at Cambridge University. In the 1957 season, when the university side was looking for opening batsmen, he was one of numerous batsmen tried in that position, but in five games he made only 61 runs and took one wicket with his leg-spin, and he lost his place. When he returned to Pakistan he began playing for Khairpur, with one appearance in 1959–60. He captained Khairpur in the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy in 1961–62, beginning the season by taking three wickets and top-scoring in each innings for Khairpur against Bahawalpur – 29 and 53 in a low-scoring match that Khairpur won by eight runs. Commonwealth XI Cricket Team
The Commonwealth XI cricket team played over 100 first-class cricket matches from 1949 to 1968. The team started out as a side made up of mostly English, Australian and West Indian cricketers, that toured the subcontinent but later on played first-class fixtures in England. They also toured South Africa and Rhodesia. Qamaruddin Butt
Qamaruddin Butt (1914 – 8 June 1974) was a Pakistani cricket player, writer and umpire. He stood in one Test match, Pakistan v New Zealand, in 1965. Playing career A batsman, leg-spin bowler and occasional wicket-keeper, Butt played seven first-class matches for various Punjab teams from 1933 to 1947, including four matches in the Ranji Trophy for Southern Punjab, Northern India and Delhi. His highest score was 59 for a one-off team called the North India Free Lancers against Sind in 1936-37. In the only match in which he kept wicket, a semi-final of the Ranji Trophy in 1935-36, he took five catches in a narrow loss for Northern India to Bombay. The National Counties, known as the Minor Counties before 2020, are the cricketing counties of England and Wales that do not have first-class status. The game is administered by the National Counties Cricket Association (NCCA), which comes under the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). There are currently twenty teams in National Counties cricket: nineteen representing historic counties of England, plus the Wales National County Cricket Club. Of the 39 historic counties of England, 17 have a first-class county cricket team (the 18th first-class county is Glamorgan in Wales) and 18 participate in the National Counties championship. The Pakistan national cricket team or Pak cricket team, often referred to as the Shaheens (), Green Shirts, Men in Green and Cornered Tigers is administered by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The team is a Full Member of the International Cricket Council, and participates in Test, One Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 International cricket matches. Pakistan Railways Cricket Team
Pakistan Railways (usually known simply as Railways) were a Pakistani first-class cricket side who played in the Patron's Trophy and Quaid-i-Azam Trophy from 1953-54 to 1995-96. They were based in the city of Lahore and sponsored by Pakistan Railways. Playing record The team's most successful season came in 1973-74 when they took out both trophies in a side captained by Arif Butt. Other Pakistani internationals in the side included Saleem Pervez and Mohammad Nazir. In December 1964 Railways set a new first-class cricket record for the greatest winning margin in a match. Javed Burki ( ur, ; born 8 May 1938) is a Pakistani former cricketer who played in 25 Test matches from 1960 to 1969 to eventually become an ICC match referee. Burki received his early education from Saint Mary's Academy at Rawalpindi. He also played cricket while studying at Oxford University (1958–1960). Javed Burki is the son of General Wajid Ali Khan Burki (1900–1988). General Burki's sister-in-law, Shaukat Khanum (Burki), was the mother of Imran Khan, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan. The Pakistan A cricket team, or Pakistan Shaheens, is a national cricket team representing Pakistan. It is the second-tier of international Pakistan cricket, below the full Pakistan national cricket team. Matches played by Pakistan A are not considered to be Test matches or One Day Internationals, receiving first-class and List A classification respectively.
