''Fantastic 4'' is an Action-adventure game, action-adventure beat 'em up video game based on the Fantastic Four (2005 film), 2005 film of the same name, developed by 7 Studios and published by Activision. Players play as the characters of the Marvel Comics superhero team Fantastic Four using Combo (video gaming), combos and Fighting game#Special attacks and combos, special attacks to fight their way through hordes of enemies and bosses. Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Michael Chiklis, Chris Evans (actor), Chris Evans and Julian McMahon reprise their roles for the game. It was followed by ''Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (video game), Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer'', itself based on the Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, film of the same name, released in 2007, with 2K Games, 2K taking over Activision from publishing the game. Beenox Inc. is a Canadian video game developer established in 2000 in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. The studio became a wholly owned subsidiary of Activision on May 25, 2005. History Between 2003 and 2006, the developer was essentially a porting house. They completed approximately 30 projects for Microsoft Windows and Macintosh operating systems, based on popular franchises such as X-Men, Spider-Man and Shrek (franchise), Shrek. In 2006, they returned to original game development with the console versions of ''Bee Movie Game'', inspired by the Bee Movie, feature film from DreamWorks Animation. As part of Activision's Electronic Entertainment Expo, E3 2007 media blitz, it was announced that Beenox was the developer behind the Windows version of Activision's Spider-Man game ''Spider-Man: Friend or Foe'', which was released in October 2007.
