Fantasmagoria
Fantasmagoria is an Argentine Argentines (mistakenly translated Argentineans in the past; in Spanish (masculine) or (feminine)) are people identified with the country of Argentina. The band was formed in Argentina in 2000 when Gori left punk rock band Fun People and began working on his own project. Fun People
Fun People was a hardcore band from Argentina. Their lyrics were in English and Spanish, often mixing both languages in a single song or even line. Human and animal rights are frequent subjects in their lyrics. The band mixes punk music with other genres such as reggae, pop, tango, thrash metal and others. As the band became well known, skinheads who enjoyed the band's aggressive music in a violent way started to show up at concerts, prompting singer Nekro to call the band's genre "anti-fascist gay hardcore" in an attempt to get rid of those fans. For this reason Fun People is sometimes confused as queercore. History Early on, the band was called Anesthesia (as a tribute to Cliff Burton). When the band was about to release their first album, planned to be self-titled, they found out someone else had already copyrighted ''Anesthesia'' as a band name. Ratones Paranoicos
Ratones Paranoicos is an Argentine rock band, formed in 1983 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The group is influenced by rhythm-and-blues music, and their prime influence were The Rolling Stones, with whom they have shared Andrew Loog Oldham as a producer. Members It was originally formed by Juanse (vocals and guitar), Pablo “Maldito" Memi (bass), Paul "Sarcófago" Cano (guitar) and Rubén "Roy" Quiroga (drums). In October 2007, Fabian "von" Quintiero split from the band after being a member since 1997. In his place came Pablo Memi, returning to the original line-up. The band was once supported by Charly García. Former Rolling Stone guitarist Mick Taylor has appeared with them. Catupecu Machu
Catupecu Machu is an Argentine rock band, usually classified as within Rock en Español. Its current band members are Fernando Ruiz Díaz on vocals and guitar; Sebastián Cáceres on bass guitar; Agustín Rocino on drums; and Macabre González on keyboards and samplers. Biography The band started as a power trio in the Villa Luro neighborhood, Buenos Aires, in 1994. It all started when the Ruiz brothers decided to establish a band. As music lovers they already knew how to play the guitar and bass. All they needed was a drummer, so they recruited Marcelo Baraj (who currently plays in Totus Toss). With this first line-up they started playing in the underground concerts of Buenos Aires (performing in the Arlequines theatre), followed by shows around the country.
