Fanfreluche Stakes
The Fanfreluche Stakes is a thoroughbred horse race run annually during the last week of October at Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Restricted to two-year-old fillies foaled in Ontario, it is contested on dirt over a distance of six furlongs. Inaugurated in 1981, the race is named in honor of J. Louis Lévesque's Hall of Fame filly, Fanfreluche. Reade Baker
Reade Baker (born April 30, 1947, in Port Dalhousie, Ontario) is a retired trainer of Thoroughbred racehorses who was voted the 2005 Sovereign Award for Outstanding Trainer in Canada and who in 2018 was inducted into the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame. During his career Reade Baker trained horses that won 13 National Championships of which two earned Canadian Horse of the Year honors. Josie Carroll
Josie Carroll (born December 8, 1957) is a Canadian Thoroughbred horse trainer, who in 2006 became the first woman trainer to win the Queen's Plate, the oldest thoroughbred horse race in Canada and Canada's most prestigious race. She is referred to as the Danica Patrick of horse racing. Emma-Jayne Wilson (born September 1, 1981) is a Sovereign and Eclipse Award-winning jockey in Thoroughbred horse racing. Eurico Rosa da Silva (born June 29, 1975, in Buri, São Paulo, Brazil) is a retired Thoroughbred racing jockey who raced for five years in his native Brazil and another four years in Macau before coming to Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto, Ontario.
