Fanderson
Fanderson is the official appreciation society for the works of British film and television producers Gerry and Sylvia Anderson. Based in the United Kingdom, but with an international membership, it is a not-for-profit organisation run by a small committee of volunteers. The club is endorsed by ITV Studios Global Entertainment, ITC Entertainment Group, The Indestructible Production Company, Anderson Entertainment and the family of Sylvia Anderson. Activities The club was formed on 20 August 1981 at a meeting convened by ITC and Gerry Anderson. Previously, ITC had supported the various clubs and societies that followed Anderson's work; in 1981, it requested that these groups merge and, in exchange, promised to give its full backing (except financial support) to the new organisation. In the early 1990s, the club had approximately 1,600 members. By 1996, it had about 2,000. Anderson was the club's honorary president until his death in 2012. Gerry Anderson
Gerald Alexander Anderson (; 14 April 1929 – 26 December 2012) was an English television and film producer, director, writer and occasional voice artist. He remains famous for his futuristic television programmes, especially his 1960s productions filmed with " Supermarionation" (marionette puppets containing electric moving parts). Anderson's first television production was the 1957 Roberta Leigh children's series ''The Adventures of Twizzle'' (1957–58). ''Torchy the Battery Boy'' (1960), ''Four Feather Falls'' (1960), ''Supercar'' (1961–62) and ''Fireball XL5'' (1962–63) followed later, both series breaking into the U.S. television market in the early 1960s. The Incorporated Television Company (ITC), or ITC Entertainment as it was referred to in the United States, was a British company involved in production and distribution of television programmes. History Incorporated Television Programme Company Television mogul Lew Grade set up the Incorporated Television Programme Company (ITP) with Prince Littler and Val Parnell in 1954. Originally designed to be a contractor for the UK's new ITV network, the company failed to win a contract when the Independent Television Authority felt that doing so would give too much control in the entertainment business to the Grade family's companies (which included large talent agencies and theatre interests) although the ITA said that ITP were free to make their own programmes which they could sell to the new network companies. Jamie Anderson (producer)
Jamie Anderson (born 1 March 1985) is an English producer, director and writer best known for his work on the ''Doctor Who'' and ''Terrahawks'' audio plays for Big Finish Productions, and for his work continuing the legacy of his late father Gerry Anderson. Education Jamie was educated at Abingdon School where he rowed for the Abingdon School Boat Club first four. He became a World Junior Champion in 2003 along with fellow Abingdonian Nick Brodie when the eight won the gold medal in Athens. In 2003 he was awarded the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Award for Young People for to the community. After leaving Abingdon in 2004 he attended Oxford Brookes University for one year before gaining a place at Keble College at the University of Oxford where he studied physiological sciences.
