The Most Esteemed Family Order of Seri Utama ( ms, Darjah Kerabat Seri Utama Yang Amat Dihormati) is an order of Brunei. It was established on 1 March 1954 by Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien III. The order carries the post-nominal letters "DK" as well as the title "Dato Seri Utama". Sultan Of Brunei
The sultan of Brunei is the monarchical head of state of Brunei and head of government in his capacity as prime minister of Brunei. Since independence from the British in 1984, only one sultan has reigned, though the royal institution dates back to the 14th century. The sultan of Brunei can be thought of as synonymous with the ruling House of Bolkiah, with generations being traced from the first sultan, temporarily interrupted by the 13th sultan, Abdul Hakkul Mubin, who in turn was deposed by a member of the House of Bolkiah. Royal Brunei Police Force
The Royal Brunei Police Force, RBPF ( ms, Polis Diraja Brunei (PDB) is in charge of keeping law and order in Brunei. The RBPF has been one of the 190 members of INTERPOL, an intergovernmental organisation worldwide since 1984. With a force of more than 4,400 officers, the RBPF is responsible for keeping law and order and providing law enforcement services. Orders, Decorations, And Medals Of Brunei
The orders, decorations, and medals of Brunei consist of (translatable as 'state decorations') and (literally 'medals of honour'). Both are awarded by the Sultan of Brunei on the basis of merit, especially on the contributions to the country. The investiture of some of the state decorations also include the conferment of titles, whereby they become part of the awardees' personal names in official correspondence or when mentioned in formal media in the country. The decorations and medals are under the responsibility of , a government department under the Prime Minister's Office, which also oversees Bruneian royal traditions and protocol. Major Sir Angus MacKay Mackintosh (23 July 1915 – 1987), sometimes referred to as Inche A.M. Mackintosh, was a diplomat and formerly the British High Commissioner to Brunei, Ceylon and Ambassador to the Maldives. Early life Angus Mackintosh was born in Inverness, Scotland on 23 July 1915. He obtained his Master of Letters (MLitt) from the Oxford University College in 1938. Amid the outbreak of the Second World War, he enlisted into the British Army and went on to serve in the 2nd Battalion of the Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders from 1942 to 1946. Sir Dennis Charles White (30 July 1910 – 17 October 1983), sometimes referred to as Tuan D.C. White, was a British colonial administrator in Sarawak and formerly the British High Commissioner to Brunei. Career White was educated at Bradfield College, then joined the service of the Rajah of Sarawak in 1932. A strait is an oceanic landform connecting two seas or two other large areas of water. The surface water generally flows at the same elevation on both sides and through the strait in either direction. Most commonly, it is a narrow ocean channel that lies between two land masses. Mohammad Jamil Al-Sufri bin Umar (10 December 1921 – 4 March 2021), pen name Wijaya, was a nobleman, historian and teacher from Brunei who previously served as a member of the Royal Council, member of the Royal Succession Council, member of the Islamic Religious Council, and member of the Privy Council. He has also been referred to as the National Historian.
