Paul Scardon
Paul Scardon (6 May 1874 – 17 January 1954) was an actor, a producer, and a director on both Australian and New York stages. When he was 15, Scardon debuted on stage as a contortionist in vaudeville. He progressed from that to pantomime and then joined a troupe headed by J. C. Williamson, touring New Zealand and Australia for five years. In 1905, he joined a company headed by Nance O'Neil, and that group's tour brought him to the United States. Scardon's Broadway credits include ''Mrs. Bumpstead-Leigh'' (1911), ''Becky Sharp'' (1911), ''The Green Cockatoo'' (1910), ''Hannele'' (1910), ''The Debtors'' (1909), ''Agnes''(1908), ''Our American Cousin'' (1908), and ''Brigadier Gerard'' (1906). Percy Challenger
Percy Challenger (September 3, 1858 – July 23, 1932) was a film and theater actor in the United States. He appeared in dozens of films. He was born in England. He acted in and managed the eastern tour of Virginia Drew Prescott (Melbourne MacDowell)'s playlet ''Man of the People''. Challenger was a vaudeville actor. A 1911 performance in Chicago was reviewed by ''The Billboard'', reading, "Percy Challenger, an English entertainer, was first on the program, and although his act was rather odd, it seemed to take very well. Mr. Challenger's work as an elocutionist was very good". He won plaudits as a supporting actor in films. His performance in ''Flames of Chance'' (1918) was received as "clever" in a review in ''Variety''. Her father, John Philbin, was born in Ballinrobe, County Mayo, Ireland, and had emigrated to America in 1900. Joseph H. Hazelton (c. 1853 – October 6, 1936), aka Joseph Hazleton, was an American stage and film actor. He appeared in 30 films between 1912 and 1922. As a boy program giver at Ford's Theatre, he witnessed the assassination of U.S. President Abraham Lincoln on April 14, 1865. Life and career Hazelton debuted on stage as a child when a production at Grover's Theater in Washington, D.C. needed a boy to play a young prince in '' King John''. Thereafter, he continued to stay around the theater, doing odd jobs and handing out programs. In 1910, he was a member of the Columbia Players in Washington, D.C.
