Falling In Love Again (Eagle-Eye Cherry Song)
"Falling in Love Again" is the sixth track on Swedish singer Eagle-Eye Cherry's debut studio album, ''Desireless'' (1997). It was released as the album's third single in 1998 in Europe. Following the success of "Save Tonight", it was given a North American radio release in February 1999. The song reached number eight on the UK Singles Chart and peaked inside the top 50 in France, Iceland, and Ireland. Although the song charted in Canada and its music video received rotation on VH1, it did not appear on any US '' Billboard'' charts. The song's music video was directed by Stéphane Sednaoui. Critical reception UK trade paper ''Music Week'' called Eagle-Eye Cherry's vocals on the song "crisp" and "uncomplicated". Chuck Taylor of '' Billboard'' magazine described the song as "dangerously similar" to "Save Tonight" but noted the casual differences that made the song unique, asking for a more "daring" follow-up hit. Eagle-Eye Cherry
Eagle-Eye Lanoo Cherry (born 7 May 1968) is a Swedish singer and stage performer. His 1997 single "Save Tonight" achieved commercial success in Ireland, the United States and the United Kingdom, and was voted song of the year in New Zealand. Cherry is the son of American jazz artist Don Cherry and Swedish artist and designer Moki Cherry. He pursued acting during high school, though Cherry's acting career was eventually set aside as his musical career took precedence in his life with his debut album ''Desireless'' (1997). He has released several other albums since his debut, and has co-written for other artists and films, and has guest-starred on reality television. Cherry's music is of the acoustic, rock, post-grunge and alternative rock genres. He is fluent in both English and Swedish. Contemporary hit radio (also known as CHR, contemporary hits, hit list, current hits, hit music, top 40, or pop radio) is a radio format that is common in many countries that focuses on playing current and recurrent popular music as determined by the Top 40 music charts. The Dutch Top 40 ( nl, Nederlandse Top 40) is a weekly music chart compiled by ''Stichting Nederlandse Top 40''. It started as a radio program titled "Veronica Top 40", on the offshore station Radio Veronica in 1965. It remained "The Veronica Top 40" until 1974, when the station was forced to stop broadcasting. ''DV'' (''Dagblaðið Vísir'') is an online newspaper in Iceland published by Torg ehf. It came into existence as a daily newspaper in 1981 when two formerly independent newspapers, Vísir and Dagblaðið, merged. Early on it was one of the largest newspapers in Iceland and at one point had a 64% readership in Iceland. In the 1990s its readership started to dwindle and in 2003 its publisher was declared bankrupt. It was resurrected a week later by the publisher of Fréttablaðið. In 2006 it was changed from a daily newspaper into a weekly one. Since then it has changed publishers regularly and in 2018 its publisher, DV ehf., went bankrupt.
