Fall From Grace (House)
"Fall from Grace" is the seventeenth episode of the seventh season of the American medical drama ''House''. It aired on March 21, 2011. Plot The team takes up the case of a homeless man who was accidentally burned by a miniature rocket launched by two boys in a local park. The patient's most striking symptom is confusing various smells (e.g. body odor for peppermint). He also hides his real name and other information, saying that he does not want his abusive father to be drawn into the case. Now that he can fight back, he is afraid that he might kill his father, who apparently abused him as a child by putting out cigarettes on his body. Masters shows sympathy towards the patient due to his desire to do penance for his past deeds and his aspirations of becoming a doctor. Meanwhile, House rides a Segway through the hospital with Dominika Petrova (Karolina Wydra), whom he introduces as his fiancée. Refsum Disease
Refsum disease is an autosomal recessive neurological disease that results in the over-accumulation of phytanic acid in cells and tissues. It is one of several disorders named after Norwegian neurologist Sigvald Bernhard Refsum (1907–1991). Refsum disease typically is adolescent onset and is diagnosed by above average levels of phytanic acid. Humans obtain the necessary phytanic acid primarily through diet.
