Falconara Marittima
Falconara Marittima is a seaside resort on the Adriatic coast, in Italy, located north of Ancona, in the Marche region, province of Ancona. History Falconara developed around a castle. In the second half of the 16th century it was bought by the noble family of Bourbon del Monte. In the 19th century they were still present as owners. The Castle of Falconara, together with those of Rocca Priora and of Castelferretti, represented a defence system around Ancona, which controlled the territory and demanded bridge toll for crossing over the river Esino and had many other functions. Demographics , 90.94% of the population was Italian. The largest immigrant group came from Albania and Romania 4.75%, followed by North Africa 1.17%. Marche
Marche ( , ) is one of the twenty regions of Italy. In English, the region is sometimes referred to as The Marches ( ). Pasquale Gravina
Pasquale Gravina (born 1 May 1970 in Campobasso, Molise) is a manager and a former Italian professional volleyball player. Athlete Gravina is 201 cm and played as middle attacker. After some experiences for minor leagues, he made his debut in the Italian volleyball championship first division in 1988, for Falconara. His qualities, especially in block actions, made him a choice for a top team: Maxicono Parma in 1990. In this club he won the ''scudetto'' in 1992 and 1993. Later he played from 1996 until 2001 for Sisley Volley where he won the national title three times more. Then he played for Lube Volley in which he won the Champions League in 2002 and the Italian Cup in 2003. After one year playing for Cuneo, he returned in 2005 to Sisley Volley where he won the last Italian title and Cup before his retiring. He achieved a total of 20 titles. Andrea Anastasi (born 8 October 1960) is an Italian professional volleyball coach and former player. He was a member of the Italy national team from 1981 to 1991. The 1990 World Champion, 1989 European Champion, and a two–time World League winner (1990, 1991). He currently serves as head coach for Sir Safety Perugia. Jan Kvalheim
Jan Kvalheim (born 5 February 1963, Skien) is a former beach volleyball player from Norway, who represented his native country in two consecutive Summer Olympics: 1996 and 2000. Alongside Bjørn Maaseide he won several medals at the European Beach Volleyball Championships, European Championships in the 1990s and became world champion in the 1994-1995 season. Kvalheim/Maaseide have 7 wins on the FIVB World Tour. Kvalheim played pro volleyball in France in Arago Sète (1984–1989) and AS Cannes (1989–1992) and became French champion 2 times with AS Cannes and won the French cup in 1988 with Arago Sète. Thomas Sorensen (born April 6, 1971, in Racine, Wisconsin) is a former American volleyball player, who was a member of the United States men's national volleyball team at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia. Daniel Jorge Castellani (born 21 March 1961) is an Argentine professional volleyball coach and former player. He was a member of the Argentina national team from 1976 to 1988. Ferdinando De Giorgi (born 10 October 1961) is an Italian professional volleyball coach and former player, a participant in the Olympic Games Seoul 1988, three–time World Champion (1990, 1994, 1998), and the 1989 European Champion. The CEV Cup is the second tier official competition for men's Volleyball clubs of Europe. The competition takes place every year. Until 2000, it was the CEV Cup Winners' Cup.
