Fakhro Tower
Fakhro Tower is a commercial office complex in Manama, Bahrain, located across the street from the Bahrain City Centre mall. The building is constructed on 30 floors consisting of a double-height lobby with showroom space, five floors of podium parking, and 24 floors of office space. The tower was designed by The Modern Architect and constructed by Kooheji Contractors. Abdulla Yousif Fakhro & Sons BSC(c), one of the oldest family businesses in Bahrain is an anchor tenant in the tower and currently occupies the topmost floor. Other Fakhro-affiliated businesses also occupy four of the lower office floors as of January 2013. The Fakhro Group, also known as the Abdulla Yousif Fakhro Group, represents a collection of businesses owned by the descendants of the late Abdulla bin Yousif Fakhro. The group is one of the oldest and most prominent family businesses in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Labour Market Regulatory Authority (Bahrain)
The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) is a government body in Bahrain with a corporate identity endowed with full financial and administrative independence under the authority of a board of directors chaired by the Minister of Labour. The Authority was established on 31 May 2006 to regulate and control work permits for foreign workers in Bahrain and the self-employed, in addition to issuing licenses for manpower and recruitment agencies. Fees are imposed on companies for foreign work permits, as well as a monthly tax for each foreign worker they employ. At 2012, the foreign work permit fee was BD200, and the monthly tax for each foreign worker employed was BD10. There were 600,857 foreign workers in Bahrain at the end of the second quarter of 2018, compared to 158,814 Bahrainis employed. The Bahrain International Exhibition & Convention Centre (BIECC, also known as the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre) is an exhibition centre in Manama, Bahrain. It is the country's largest exhibition and convention facility. During the COVID-19 pandemic in Bahrain, the centre was converted into the country's main testing centre for COVID-19. Facilities BIECC has 14,000 square meters of exhibition space and 1,400 square meters of function space. It is able to hold approximately 5,000 delegates and up to 30,000 visitors each day.
