Landen Stadium (previously Gabbie Stadium, Fairfax Community Stadium, Lily Homes Stadium, Lily's Football Centre, Blacktown City Sports Centre), is a multi-purpose stadium located in Sydney, Australia. It is the home ground of Blacktown City FC. The stadium has a capacity crowd of 7,500 and is owned by Momento Hospitality. The venue has been originally known as Gabbie Stadium until naming rights deals with Fairfax Media, Fairfax Community Newspapers in 2007 settled on the name of Fairfax Community Stadium. In 2009, it was renamed Lily Homes Stadium. In 2014 it, was renamed Lily's Football Centre, in 2020 it was renamed Blacktown City Sports Centre, in 2023 it was renamed Landen Stadium. Blacktown City FC
Blacktown City Football Club is an Australian semi-professional football club based in Blacktown, New South Wales. Founded in 1953, the club currently competes in the National Premier Leagues NSW. Blacktown City's home ground is Blacktown City Sports Centre in the suburb of Seven Hills. History The club was formed in 1953 as Toongabbie Soccer Club and changed their name to Blacktown City in 1979. The club competed in the National Soccer League in 1980, 1981, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1989 and 1990. Since then they have competed in the highest level in New South Wales, the NSW Premier League, where they have finished Premiers (1st in the League) in 2001, 2002/03, 2004/05, 2006 and 2008. Hills United Football Club, also known as the Hills Brumbies, is a football club based in the Hills District, New South Wales, Australia, that plays in the NSW Premier League. History Hills United SC, which later became known as Hills United Brumbies FC, is a club that was formed in the mid-1990s through a partnership between Castle Hill United and Baulkham Hills Soccer Club, to create a pathway for elite and representative footballers in the Hills District. While any stadium could potentially host more than one type of sport or event, this concept usually refers to a specific design philosophy that stresses multifunctionality over specificity. It is used most commonly in Canada and the United States, where the two most popular outdoor team sports – Canadian football/American football and baseball – require radically different facilities.
