Helen Fairbrother (born c. 1964) is an English beauty queen who was crowned Miss International 1986. Miss International 1986 Fairbrother represented England at the Miss International 1986 pageant when it was held in Nagasaki, Japan on 31 August 1986. She bested 1st runner-up Pia Rosenberg Larsen of Denmark, who would later be crowned 1st runner-up at the Miss World 1986, and 2nd runner-up Martha Cristiana Merino Ponce de León of Mexico, to become the 26th winner of the pageant. Ian Fairbrother (born 2 October 1966) is an English retired footballer. He spent the majority of his career in the United States. He spent his youth career with Manchester United and Blackburn Rovers, but began his professional career in 1984 with Liverpool. He never played any games for Liverpool's first team, and moved to Bury on a free transfer in 1986. In 1988, he moved to the United States to play for the Fort Lauderdale Strikers in the American Soccer League. However, he is not listed with Fort Lauderdale's first team that year. During the summer of 1989, he played for the amateur Wichita Blue in the Heartland Soccer League. On 14 December 1989, he signed with the Wichita Wings of the Major Indoor Soccer League. John Fairbrother (born 12 February 1941) is an English former footballer who played as a centre forward. He scored 153 goals from 352 appearances in the Football League playing for Watford, Peterborough United, Northampton Town, Mansfield Town and Torquay United. He also played in the Southern League for Worcester City, Bath City and Barnet, and continued his non-league football career with Hemel Hempstead, Berkhamsted Town and Leverstock Green. Neil Fairbrother (born Neil Harvey Fairbrother; 9 September 1963) is an English former cricketer who played 75 One Day International matches and 10 Test matches as a batsman for England. Fairbrother, named by his mother after her favourite player, the Australian cricketer Neil Harvey, was educated at Lymm Grammar School and played his county cricket for Lancashire. Although primarily a one day player at international level, he had strong success in the County Championship and had a first class high score of 366. Nicola Kim Fairbrother MBE (born 14 May 1970) is a retired judoka from the United Kingdom, who competed at two Olympic Games. She holds the 7th Dan and is one of Britain's most prominent judoka. Judo career Fairbrother's first significant success was becoming champion of Great Britain, winning the lightweight division at the British Judo Championships in 1989. The following year she gained her first senior international success when she won a bronze medal at the 1990 European Judo Championships in Frankfurt. In 1991, she won a bronze medal at the 1991 World Judo Championships in Barcelona and won back to back British titles in 1991 and 1992. Tapping and actress Florence Cowell, she was educated at Blackpool and Bonn.
