Fahad Ensour
Fahad Ensour was Jordan's Secretary of State for Legal Affairs. He was born in Jordan in 1934. He obtained his law degree from the Syrian University/Damascus in 1959. Nsour served as attorney general and a judge in various courts. Between 1972–1974 to 1978 he worked as a legal adviser at the Cabinet (government), Cabinet. He chaired the Supreme Court of Jordan from 1988 to 1997. In 2012, Ensour has been appointed as a Constitutional Court Justice in the Constitutional Court, which is considered the highest judicial body in Jordan. Salt, Jordan
Al-Salt ( ar, السلط ''As-Salt'') is an ancient salt trading city and administrative centre in west-central Jordan. It is on the old main highway leading from Amman to Jerusalem. Situated in the Balqa highland, about 790–1,100 metres above sea level, the city is built in the crook of three hills, close to the Jordan Valley. One of the three hills, Jabal al-Qal'a, is the site of a 13th-century ruined fortress. It is the capital of Balqa Governorate. The Greater Salt Municipality has about 107,874 inhabitants (2018). Al-Salt was added to the UNESCO World Heritage list in 2021. Constitutional Court
A constitutional court is a high court that deals primarily with constitutional law. Its main authority is to rule on whether laws that are challenged are in fact unconstitutional, i.e. whether they conflict with constitutionally established rules, rights, and freedoms, among other things.
