Factory Theater
The Factory Theater is a Chicago theatre company founded in 1992. Originally working out of a 50-seat storefront theater in the Rogers Park, Chicago, Rogers Park neighborhood in the northern part of Chicago, the company has produced over 100 shows during its existence (all original scripts written by ensemble members). The typical schedule during the first five seasons of the Factory Theater was a Thursday evening show, a Friday/Saturday mainstage show, and a Friday/Saturday late-night show. In 1997, after years of ongoing improvements and renovations to the theater in an unsuccessful attempt to satisfy building-code requirements, the company moved out of its Rogers Park storefront and into the Footsteps Theater's space on Clark Street in the Edgewater, Chicago#Andersonville, Andersonville neighborhood. Chicago Theatre
The Chicago Theatre, originally known as the Balaban and Katz Chicago Theatre, is a landmark theater located on North State Street in the Loop area of Chicago, Illinois. Built in 1921, the Chicago Theatre was the flagship for the Balaban and Katz (B&K) group of theaters run by A. J. Balaban, his brother Barney Balaban and partner Sam Katz. Along with the other B&K theaters, from 1925 to 1945 the Chicago Theatre was a dominant movie theater enterprise. Currently, Madison Square Garden, Inc. owns and operates the Chicago Theatre as a performing arts venue for stage plays, magic shows, comedy, speeches, sporting events and popular music concerts. Rogers Park, Chicago
Rogers Park is the first of Chicago's 77 community areas. Located from the Loop, it is on the city's far north side on the shore of Lake Michigan. The neighborhood is commonly known for its cultural diversity, lush green public spaces, early 20th century architecture, live theater, unique bars/restaurants, beaches, and progressive mindset. Edgewater, Chicago
Edgewater is a lakefront community area on the North Side of the city of Chicago, Illinois six miles north of the Loop. The last of the city's 77 official community areas, Edgewater is bounded by Foster Avenue on the south, Devon Avenue on the north, Ravenswood Avenue on the west, and Lake Michigan on the east. Edgewater contains several beaches that residents enjoy during the late spring, summer, and early autumn. Nick Digilio
Nick Digilio (born July 6, 1965) is a movie critic and radio personality. He was the host of an award-winning radio program on WGN Radio in Chicago. In 2017, he was inducted into the WGN Radio Walk Of Fame. Life Digilio grew up about five blocks away from Wrigley Field in Chicago, Illinois. He attended Luther North High School and graduated in 1983. He also attended Columbia College Chicago where he studied film. He recently moved from the Andersonville and Albany Park neighborhoods to the Old Irving Park neighborhood of Chicago. Digilio is a theater director and actor, and a former member of The Factory Theater. He has married twice and divorced twice. Brooke Dillman (born Brooke Alley; August 22, 1966) is an American actress and comedian best known as a series regular on the skit comedy '' Blue Collar TV''. Early life and education Dillman was born in Kansas City, Missouri. She attended Shawnee Mission East High School in Prairie Village, Kansas. Improvisational Theatre
Improvisational theatre, often called improvisation or improv, is the form of theatre, often comedy, in which most or all of what is performed is unplanned or unscripted: created spontaneously by the performers.
