Facemob
Facemob was an American hip hop group put together by rapper Scarface. The group consisted of 350, DMG, Devin the Dude, Chi-Ray and Smit-D, with Scarface producing and writing songs for the group's debut album. The group first made an uncredited appearance on Scarface's 1995 single " Among the Walking Dead" from the ''Walking Dead'' soundtrack album, but the group's first official appearance came later in the year on the ''Tales from the Hood'' soundtrack album on the self-titled song "Face Mob". Facemob also appeared on the soundtrack albums for ''Original Gangstas'' and ''High School High'' before releasing their debut album, ''The Other Side of the Law'', which peaked at 51 on the ''Billboard'' 200. DMG (rapper)
Harold Armstrong (born October 22, 1969) better known as DMG (short for DetriMental Ganxta), is an American rapper formally signed to Rap-a-Lot Records. Career DMG got his break when he met Scarface after a concert. Scarface got DMG a record deal with Rap-a-Lot, where he released his debut album in 1993 entitled ''Rigormortiz''. The album reached Billboard's R&B and Heatseekers charts. Two years later, DMG was invited to join Facemob, a rap group featuring rappers from different regions. Facemob's debut album, ''The Other Side of the Law'' was released in 1996 and peaked at 51 on the ''Billboard'' 200. After the Facemob, DMG continued making guest appearances on Rap-a-Lot albums throughout the late 90s and early 2000s. Devin Copeland (born June 4, 1970), better known by his stage name Devin the Dude, is an American rapper from Houston, Texas. He is known for his unique rapping style and his 2002 songs "Lacville '79" and "Doobie Ashtray". Early life Devin Copeland was born in Pontiac, Michigan on June 4, 1970. He spent most of his early childhood in St. Petersburg, Florida and moved to Houston, Texas while in the fourth grade. He spent the rest of his youth moving back and forth between New Boston and Houston, finally settling in Houston after graduating from high school. Rap-A-Lot is a hip hop record label co-founded by James Prince and Cliff Blodget in 1986. Smoke-a-Lot Records is a subsidiary. Rap-A-Lot was first distributed by A&M Records with the release of Raheem's 1988 debut ''The Vigilante''. The label was distributed through the 1990s by EMI's Priority Records (1991–1994), Noo Trybe Records (1994-1998), and Virgin Records (1998–2002). In the 2000s, it was distributed by Asylum Records and then Fontana Distribution. On August 22, 2013, Rap-A-Lot announced a distribution deal with RED Distribution. ''Tales from the Hood: The Soundtrack'' is the soundtrack to Rusty Cundieff's 1995 horror film, ''Tales from the Hood''. It was released on May 9, 1995 through MCA Records, and consists of twelve songs by various hip hop music recording artists. The album features performances by the likes of Wu-Tang Clan, Facemob, Gravediggaz, Havoc & Prodeje, MC Eiht, Scarface, Spice 1, Tha Chill, The Click and more.
